👍🏻Siegfried Ruf
The more I listen to hr-sinfonieorchester the more I have come to like them. Looking at the number of vacant seats in the hall, I think Frankfurt is the place to be!
They are a truly wonderful orchestra: they gave us wonderful concerts in the long and gloomy days of lockdown, which kept up our spirits. I will always remember them for this, and be thankful to them.
That emptiness was strange; had looked forward to being beneath humans, after all and it felt strange in that emptiness. Can imagine that was a little dissappointing especially for the orchestra. And, to me, the first half of the set went on a bit lame and bold, while the second one was really very good and I gained a lot of unknown fascination of the music of that guy whose antisemitism I absolutely hate for ever.
@@INTERpEST I agree with you about the anti-semitism: alas in Wagner's time this sentiment was rife throughout Europe. No-one will mention its origin.... anti-semitism originated in the Christian ethos, i.e. being the people who called for Christ to be executed. This has always been the justification for this disgrace. The Church needs to admit to this, and make reparations for it.
Love this music performed so well by this fine orchestra. It probably shouldn't come as a surprise given that the relatively new principal conductor is also music director of the orchestra at the opera house in Brussels. Doubtless this is a repertoire with which he is familiar. It is great music so we all benefit. Thanks for these amazing productions... gorgeous sound and excellent video quality.
Superb interpretation that filled me with a sense of awe and wonder that something magical was in the making. So much so, that I managed to ignore the somewhat average camera direction in this instance. Minor set back that didn't detract from the sheer enjoyment of listening to one of the best ensembles.
@@ToxicTurtleIsMad 90% of comments on internet sites are worthless. My remark was that it seems strange to have a harp competing with Wagner's huge brass section. Remember that in Wagner's own theater, the orchestra pit was/is covered - making a harp even less audible.
The orchestra sounds absolutely fabulous here. Bravo.

Yes. I wish I was German to watch this in real life.

What a glorious aggregation of musical perfection this orchestra is!

6:20 That use of the glockenspiel is masterful orchestration
It is, it gives one a sense of exquisite joy and sheer happiness.
많은 예술적 영감을 받고 갑니다
감사합니다♡
Wagner has such sublime orchestration throughout the Ring! Amazing performance!
I question his use of the harp. Who can hear it?

Yes indeed, I totally agree with you... how lucky the people of Frankfurt are to have an orchestra of this inestimable quality in their midst
Dit is genieten
Felicidades.... ......
I like this clip not just for the excellent musicianship but as a native English speaker the title Rhine Fahrt has a different connotation !
That one bass clarinet riff or whatever instrument sounds just like Scriabin no 1 1st mov is main theme to me
👍👍👍
Great performance. Hope to never again have to see an audiences like that.
Der Walkürenritt war im Live-Stream - wird er hier auf RUclips verfügbar sein?
Ist jemand aufgefallen, daß ab 3:25 etwas fehlt ???
Yes
4:40

Too fast!!!!!!
