  • England is a nation that loves its racing, and the thousands attending Royal Ascot is testament to this.
    But the UK’s love of racing isn’t just confirmed to horses, it includes Greyhound Racing and some lesser-known sports such as Sheep Racing.
    As with many great English sports, the origins of goat racing can be traced back to alcohol. It was in early 2005 that the idea for goat racing was hatched.

    Goat racing believe it or not is a sport in the Caribbean.
    The village of Buccoo, Tobago, is widely recognized as the goat-racing capital of the world, until now.

    A farm in Telford, a midlands town in England, has over the past year been training its goats for the racing season ahead. The course covers just over two furlongs and like many horse steeplechases have fences for the goats to jump. Runners in this year’s Grand National meeting had a small knitted jockey on their backs
