      He and his uncle were trying to force their way to LA from the Spurs. The Spurs correctly diagnosed that he had a degenerative knee, and it would never truly get better. But Kawhi got his own doctor to lie about it, because he wanted to get that bag in LA.
      Spurs traded him to a contending team outside of their conference, and he won a chip. But he was never going to stay anywhere he went. Then he completed his master plan of getting to LA. My theory is that Kawaii wanted Clippers to give up all their draft picks to basically make rebuilding impossible, and bascially force the clippers to pay him well into his 30s and avoid ever have to settle for a vet minimum contract. James Harden is also now part of that action. Pretty sure Clippers are gonna give big contract to James Harden soon cause they have been back to a corner that is the only option.

    • @jjcometa9333
      @jjcometa9333 4 месяца назад

      Atp they don't have any choice either. They signed kawhi to an extension. Harden is a free agent. PG has a player option he can either opt in to and clippers can trade that, it's not gonna get them a whole lot tho but it's 1 year so that might interest some team willing to clear cap space next year. Or PG might decline and maybe they resign him. Westbrook is for sure gonna be declining his player option. So do you resign 1 of them and maybe get under the tax. Or sign them to run it back again and risk going into luxury tax, which is gonna penalize them even more as time goes on they're on there.
      Again they don't have a choice unless they blow it up and decide to trade kawhi and in turn PG might just decline the option as he doesn't want to rebuild. At that point tho you're gonna go to your new stadium with a bunch of nobodies trying to tank.

That's 28 playoff games out of the Clippers' 43 playoff games since the '19-'20 season. Where is this "4 of 19 since 2019" coming from? Some *really* bad math?

    Call me crazy but if I was the Bucks I would have offered to trade Lillard for Kawhi
    Yes Kawhi is barely healthy but in an organization like the bucks you just need him to be healthy in half the games and the Bucks struggled the most in defense this year. I think he would be a great addition to Giannis.
    Clippers would get in return an all time scorer and 3point shooter in Lillard
    Clippers need a consistent scorer to their roster and Lillard is a top 3 scorer and clutch player in the league

      You'd make Milwaukee worse than they already are. And I'm not even a fan of or think of them highly since they won their championship.

      Giannis played 2 playoff games in 2 years but he played over 65 games each year so it’s just bad luck that he gets injured around playoff time
      Kawhi most probably will miss a lot of games but in my opinion they should gamble with him since Lillard wasn’t a good fit to them and there isn’t much trading value on him due to his age
      Also because Milwaukee has a decent all around team they wouldn’t force Kawhi to play every single game in the regular season
      On the other hand Lillard is a player the clippers could really use right now scoring wise

    They don’t have to let Harden walk because there’s really not much cap space out there now. A sign and trade is very likely. They could get picks and an expiring deal. 6:34 that math is wrong, nba players pay state taxes for each game in the state the game was played in so half of the games pay would be taxed at the 12.5% then the other games pay would be taxed at the state tax rate that they are playing in. Example: play the magic in Orlando and you pay ZERO state tax..play a game in Sacramento you’d pay the California state tax rate.

    Now look I would fully understand if the Clippers were asking him to take some kind of massive pay cut, but if they're offering him the same deal that Kawhi got? At some point, you do just look greedy when either contract would set your family up for generations AND you've already MADE enough to set your family up for generations. The only thing PG13 should be aiming at is a ring and his legacy at this point. The Clippers have the talent, but need a top-shelf big to compete in the Western Conference playoffs. Freeing up a little cash from the contracts of PG13, Kawhi, and Harden to do that should be something worth having a conversation around.
