Early Masamune was really something, he had his own style, something that alot of manga of today do not have, they tend to use the same tricks and styles, it is to much playing it safe and doing what everyone else is doing, that is my main criticism of the main majority of manga and manga artists of today, it tends to feel and look the same a lot of the time. They need to be themselves and develop a style of their own, something that was very prevalent and obvious when it comes to the Manga and Mangakas of old. Gotta love some old Hino, always a treat! If it´s special and you want it to stand the test of time, hardcover is the way to go. That same ghost story or tale is the same that is in the movie Kwaidan, i highly recommend it if you have not seen it, it is a favorite of mine from 1964 directed by Masaki Kobayashi. Of course you have to keep the signed edition of Maraya by Yasuhiko Yoshikazu, i would too, it is a real treasure. Q Hayashida is great, another artist that has her own style and way of doing things, something i appreciate and it reflects how i look at things at what i learned through out my years as an artist. Thanks for another video filled with great titles and artists and art! Goodluck with the hunt and slinging sweet Manga goodness!
I was an avid fan of Igorrr, so when Hayashida-Q dropped the soundtrack and Igorrr was on it, I couldn't help but feel like she and I were on the same wavelength.
Beautiful, it's too bad that they can't color the entire book, but I understand the deadlines. Also, do you think that Western comics are going to go the way of printing only in black and white and more cost-effective paper?

Orion was such a crazy fun read! One of my favorite Shirow stories and so different than anything else he's done.
