Bobcat vs rabbit

A bobcat set a trap for the unsuspecting critters that come through the water vents in the brick party wall in my next door neighbor's back yard. An antelope squirrel wandered into the yard first but escaped unscathed as the bobcat looked for something more substantial. Then there was a rabbit . . .

Caught it in a few strides, killed it and carried it off with effortless ease. Bobcat grade for speed and agility: 10/10.

I’m surprised the rabbit didn’t see the bobcat sooner than it did. An even bigger surprise is that the bobcat didn’t attack before the rabbit saw it.
