what should i say? i finally made myself to vid sherlock. There are plenty things which could be better in this season, but I still love it the most from all seasons :) It was all about emotions, and I loved that :)
John and Sherlock was awesome, as always! But Sherlock and Mycroft?! C'mon, I love their relationship :) And the scene where Sherlock chose to shoot him over John, omg, I was just so full of emotions that I knew I just had to vid them :)

It really struck a chord with me when Sherlock shot Magnussum, and Mycroft said "Oh Sherlock, what have you done?" Then he looked down and saw Sherlock as a little kid, his little baby brother.

I don't care what anyone says about Mycroft, he is such a true representative of what being an older sibling is, they pretend to be the strongest and pretend they don't care while they are the weakest and have the most scars. He had to deal with everything alone and cared for both of his siblings no matter how much he tried to show that he doesnt

Being the eldest siblings makes me relate to this so much. That is such an accurate summation of what an older sibling is like.
You see the thing about Mycroft is, you're always tricked to see how simple he is. Even though we know of his massive intellect, we minimise him as a background, an occasional addition to sherlock's story. His image is constructed, the true 'ice man', as even Sherlock is not prone to emotions. What we underestimated, was his kindness. We blamed him for what he did to Eurus and Moriarty. Mycroft had to run a world, took care of his 2 younger siblings, probably the 2 most intelligent people on earth, even more lied to his own parents and burdened the memory of his ruined family, all alone, and he never said a word. Even in the end Sherlock sees this and defended him in front of their parents, saying "He did the best that he could." Mycroft is probably the most intelligent man on the planet. Were he a more selfish man, he could've been more dangerous than Moriarty and perhaps did half of what his sister did. Instead he chose to dedicate his life to his nation, to save people. If Sherlock is alone, Mycroft didn't have anyone, not even a John Watson by his side. Although his demeanors fooled us to think that he is inhuman, he did everything to save and take care of his brother, even sacrificing his life in order for him not have to kill his own best friend, he visited his sister, giving her treats, perhaps in hope of some semblance of his old memory of her. Sherlock's vice is his drugs, Eurus, her loneliness. Mycroft's is his indefinite love for his family. That was the only time when his judgment is at fault, when he wavers. He once said to Sherlock that 'caring is not an advantage'. It wasn't an advice. It was a warning. Because he has experienced the pain. Because he cares. My god, he truly does.

Couldn't have been summed up better. I was so disappointed at how his parents treated him at the end of season 4 and even Sherlock, too. Sure, he did say that Mycroft 'did his best', but he ultimately just tells Greg to take care of him instead of being there for him, just like Mycroft was there for Sherlock.

That is the thing about Holmes siblings. Yes they are incredibly clever, but they are not inhuman or machines. They just choose the repress any emotion that may cloud their judgement. They try to look heartless and cold but in reality they are as human as any other characters. Brilliant video btw

I love this show so much, and Mycroft is just amazing. He has a brilliant brain, but his emotions and weaknesses show and it reminds everyone that he does, indeed, care. I am an older sibling and I relate so much to him.

True older brother - pretends like he doesn't care, but cares too much, is jealous of seeing Sherlock and John getting along, asks John to look after his little brother, has to deal with his sister, and in the end wants to make his brother to kill him, because he understands what John means to Sherlock.

when i first watched the series and i go to The Final Problem, the S E C O N D mycroft said "goodbye, brother mine." I actually (not exaggerating) started sobbing extremely quick and that is a goal for moffat that was well met when it came to me
ok but they actually love each other so much and it breaks my heart. like in the last episode he wasn't just prepared to die to save sherlock's life, but to save the life of the one person he cares about more than anyone else. he saw how much john meant to sherlock and would do anything to make sure they stayed together, even if it meant sherlock would hate him enough to kill him. he was ok with the idea of dying as long as it meant his brother would be happy.

Mycroft is the older brother I always wanted. As the eldest of 4 I relate to him on so many levels. The way he loves Sherlock and doesn't acknowledge it breaks my heart because I know that feeling. The scene where he says “ oh Sherlock, what have you done?” is so relatable because when he looks at his brother he sees a crying child. Mycroft is and will always be my favourite character and a great older brother.

So much about Mycroft makes sense after the final episode. Sherlock only has one friend (John), because of his subconscious fear of Eros about what happened with Redbeard. But it wasn't until watching this video that I realised Mycroft doesn't have any. Presumably because his conscious brain remembers and he's afraid to risk the life of any friends. Tragic.

Mycroft definitely loves and cares about Sherlock a lot, but so does Sherlock, only that being the typical younger sibling he never really shows it. We do get a lot of glimpses of the two brothers' love for eo in the later episodes though, and I'm so glad we do! (like the "why would anyone mind?" scene, I esp thought it was so well-done.)

Though in the end he validated Mycroft to their parents saying to them “He did his best.” And -- SPOILER -- it seems that their family relationships were on the mend with Eurus too, and Sherlock first hand knew why Eurus had to be locked up from the rest of the world - as he really freaked out where Molly was involved.
NOOOO OH MY GOD...I get feels from videos all the time but this is probably one of the first I've seen with the Holmes brothers and wow...I swear I almost cried so thank you.

i just finished season 3 and the only reason moriarty is back because it was mycroft's plan to make him live, yes mycroft planned so moriarty doesnt die because when his brother is in trouble like now moriarty can come back and threaten the country so sherlock can have work and be borught back again
No, actually was Eurus the head of the "Miss me" campaign, because she need her brother alive, not dead.
Possibly was Eurus also the actual head behind Moriarty all the years and he was only her helpmate. But that is only speculation.
Ohh I love this siblings I really hate that this fandom put more emphasis on john and sherlock's friendship I dont like their friendship in the end it became toxic but I also hate the fact that they didn't show both the brothers reconcile with each other in the end it was long overdue
