Everyone seems to be writing how they found this piece, so I'll tell my story: last weekend I was hiking and camping in Bohemia, and by one of the quarry lakes there is a panel with information on the composer Vitezslav Novak (who apparently went swimming there every day), and I thought I should investigate his music. I'm glad I did :0) Thanks for sharing it!
9:16 after the storm. This is, without question, in the top 10 pieces for me in the classical repertoire. What an exhilarating, passionate, tragic, grand, and majestic piece of work. Novak covers every emotion in this sublime emotional symphonic poem. . His De Profundis had already gotten to me with it's violent and despairing qualities, and now because of this piece I clearly see/hear that he is a master of the orchestra and composition. Thank you so much for posting.

Recently I've been introduced to so many wonderful composers that are rarely heard. As much as i enjoy the well known composers I've found some wonderful gems. I'm subscribing to your page.

I was brought here by a mention of this piece in Cecil Parrott's biography of writer Jaroslav Hašek, titled "The Bad Bohemian".
03:14 is so '' träumerisch '' and .... so little decent chaotic. and mystic.

So little decent chaotic. This is impresionistic piece, and mainly character of impresionism is mix of melody with harmony. So metody is hidden and hard to recognize😃
