This gives me memories of the SBST Scania N113CRB, which I rode on when I was very young. And oh, not to forget about the windy breeze on my face as the bus drives along (yes, some N113CRB are non air-conditioned).
@@glitchFan2428 pretty sure in 2011 lta had stated they wont buy any more buses from scania due to them being hard to maintain? Or coz their loud? Could be wrong
@@ljd2004 over the years, we had 250 3 series (200 CRB+50 CRL), 1 L94UB and 1100 KUBs. Makes me think the 4th gen Scanias were hard to maintain or obtain parts for. Even Perth has only 1 Scania (TP3000, L94UA) which has been put in storage. It was seldom deployed and only seen during school hours.
@@glitchFan2428they did order the scania citywide two door e-bus, should enter service sooner or later. also no one is gonna talk about the OCs retiring with the KUBs too 😢 and so are SMRT’s first 3 gen trains
Nice video! When I first saw the bus I nearly mistook it as a Volvo B10M because the frame looks similar. Imagine finding a fully preserved bus in a scrapyard in SG hidden away from public view....
Indeed a familiar sight back in the days, they were pretty fast when I took it for the first and last time. Their engines were quite powerful.
Sound of my childhood... Sunday afternoons in particular. These used to ply 410, both AC and non-AC variants.
Scania N113crb were once in SBS
Roaming around Toa payoh and bedok
Indeed
Tampines also had a lot. BNDEP had the lion's share of these vehicles after all.
This is perfection. Love every moment of this!

SBS Scanias had Alexander PS body. It was the Tibs ones who had Strider kits.
@@andrewsitu3472 The sounds remind me of the SBS versions.
Desgned by Yorkshire Rider and Alexander hence the name Strider. Never realised there were some in Singapore too.
I only found out the origins of the name quite recently, love it 😁
Now the Scania K230UB is retiring in SG and soon once the Euro V ones retires, it will mark the end of Scania Buses being use on Public Buses.
Unless they buy new ones, but doesn't seem to be many available

Wow I wasn't actually aware of that, sounds like a very bold statement to make

Thanks! That would be something
Voith Scanias are quite rare now. Most have ZF, even CRL.
Only remember the sbst volvo Strider also the interior pole and stop button look familiar
Very familiar
OMG I miss those SMRT scanias !
0:30 old woodlands interchange
So u mean this is the closest interms of apperance and specs to those scanias?
Damn smrt strider in the uk?
SMB Scania is L113CRL, which is different from N113CRB.
Similar but not the same
Memories
U never take before lol
Nostalgia
Wow Bus
LOL your intro should be sbs CRB, not smrt crl
This is what you get when you breed SBS3641G with TIB666L.
Ayo
Fair enough, but I chose to relate the buses via the bodywork and not the chassis, therefore I went with the SMRT ones as they were striders
