Hello! Wow! I "met" you when you had around 8k subscriptions. Congratulations!
I'd like to start a channel... I've got a son with a certain condition and I think it'd be a good thing to share my experience and tips (I am a teacher, so I'd actually had some experience and education about this condition) for others to be able to - hopefully - manage better.
HOWEVER, I'd need to take time away from teaching - I teach privately, besides at school - and you, being a teacher too, know how consuming our career can be. Sooo, I'd like to eventually make the channel "self-sufficient", so to speak, just to make sure I cover the expenses and, if anything is possible, donate to some families back home - Central America - who have kids with the same condition, but very low income, as is the case back home.
After such long introduction: what can you recommend? Is it realistic? I know it takes a lot of time and patience and, like I said, it's not like I'd try to make a profit... just cover the expenses.
Anyways, if you see this, thank you for what you do. I've actually bought a Ukulele, since my child loves music and his favorite tune is White sandy beach of Hawaii. ❤❤❤

I think if it makes you happy and you enjoy learning the various skills you need to run a channel, go for it! I started my channel as a flipped classroom aide and ended up liking making videos. I’ve learned a lot and still have a lot of work to go, but I like that as a side hustle I made money off something that I started as a portfolio/teacher tool, and now I just have a bunch of content I made for a variety of reasons (education, creative outlet, business)
The best thing you can do it just make your first video-starting it the hardest part!
