  • This camera location exceeded my expectations! I spend several clip showing a large bull moose move across the meadow to chase off a younger bull as well as showcase the interactions between a cow moose and her calf. That said, the crown jewel of this video begins subtly midway through the video when a bull moose makes the beginning of a scrape or rut pit right in front of my camera. At the onset of the rut another bull freshens up the scrape and then things get crazy. Some of the events I still do not understand. Come along and check it out. Feel free to leave comments and let me know what you think.

This was the first time I had a wolverine on camera so it’s pretty exciting for me. Some of the right action was very unique because we got an early snow. Thank you for watching.

Great video with some many different species of animals using the area. That one moose was a beast. Pretty good size bear as well at the end. Keep the great videos coming, look forward to the next one.

Some absolute MONSTERS in this video! Great action for a few months. When is the peak of the moose rut in that area ?

Thank you. I would say the peak of the rut is the end of September.

I think he had larger antlers last year. I alway like seeing him show up, but he is elusive for game cameras as well. He’s a tricky little devil.

@@RaisedinAlaska Last year's rack and this year are really impressive, he had a LOT going on with the left paddle again, and even some fun stuff going on with the right. Yeah, he is late to the party and he slips in and out. Glad we all got to see him at least to know he made it past that eye injury last year!

@@MooseManNaturePhotos I thought his right eye looked like it had some scarring in it.

@@RaisedinAlaska He's at the very least partially blind in that eye. But as you know, he's fine!

@@MooseManNaturePhotos Me personally, I would like to see him be more aggressive next year and own the whole valley. His genes should be spread more prolifically.🥳

This area seems to collect a lot of moose after the season closes and the rut gets hot. Prior to that time period animals pass through, but they spend the majority their time in the higher country where their are less bugs and fewer bears.

Great timeline for rut. Was time setting off from am to pm? All in all great footage.

Thank you. This camera took literally thousands of pictures, 24/7 for several months, I just included the better clips in this video.

Is this in the Anchorage bowl? Not asking for exact location. I'm thinking I should put up a couple cameras in the Petersville area, maybe down on the kahiltna flats area for the summer/fall.

I have cameras in several locations and have been thinking I need to get up Petersville direction. It has been on my list, but I have not made it happen yet. Hopefully next summer.
