He was hit by an employee, and his Teddy Bear, who he thought was real was slammed repeatedly in front of him against a dresser, with the person yelling at him See it’s not real. Then shredded in front of him. He definitely didn’t understand that! Obviously this new nursing facility had no idea on how to handle dementia patients. He would take his Teddy bear too the table when he ate his meals. He talked too Teddy bear all the time, saying I love u. So things are way worse now, he lost a lot of weight. I was a Nurse’s aide, for many years . Never ever would I treat my patients the way he’s been treated. When you think u can trust a place…. There’s a lot more to the story. Scares me cuz it won’t be long and I’ll need care. Don’t trust the system now.
