The Hunchback Of Notre Dame is also the final acting role for Mary Wickes, who played Laverne in the film. Wickes apparently had only one recording session left of reciting dialogue at the time of her death in 1995. Actress Jane Withers was brought in to record the last 7 lines of dialogue for LaVerne in the film.

To this very day, I am baffled as to why this movie got a G rating from the MPAA. It's arguably the darkest movie in the entire Disney animated canon. It's has quite a few intense scenes and imagery even for Disney and G-rated movie standards.
I agree with your statement on the MPAA stance, but as a kid I felt Black Cauldron was way too dark, and I loved (and still do) this film.
That’s still absolutely BAFFLING it got an G rating honestly , and it’s absolutely one of the darkest movies in the Disney renaissance
All why I haven’t seen the movie in forever. I would like to keep it that way.

The Hercules trailer is a sight to behold. Even briefly the shot where Phil waves the fish around happily cheering Herc on against Nessus best I could tell was the only animation in the trailer not included in the final
cut of the movie.
2:45 is the preview of “George of the Jungle”, it figures Brandon Fraser as George the jungle boy who was the only survivor of the plane disaster when he was a baby and he had lived in the jungle ever since, he never left his jungle home for years, but his hometown is back home in San Francisco, California.
The opening to hunchback allways gives me chills🤩🤩

The Hunchback of Notre Dame is considered to be one of Disney's darkest animated films as its narrative explores such mature subject matter and themes as infanticide, lust, damnation, antiziganism, genocide, and sin, despite the changes made from the original source material in order to ensure a G-rating received by the MPAA. Having worked on Pocahontas for a year, Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz were offered multiple film projects to collaborate on when they chose to work on The Hunchback of Notre Dame. According to Schwartz, they had both been attracted to underlying themes of social outcast and Quasimodo's struggle to break free of the psychological abuse of Frollo.

I have the 2002 VHS and 2013 Blu-ray.
Anyone notice a next feature trend?
*Beauty and the beast had a trailer for Aladdin which had one for The Lion King which had one for Pocahontas which had The Hunchback of Notre Dame which had Hercules which had Mulan which had Tarzan which had one for Dinosaur.
Atlantis had one for Lilo & Stitch.
On a black screen, we start to hear bells ringing and choir harmonizing alongside it, which continues over to the trademark "Walt Disney Pictures" logo. After getting to the "Walt Disney Pictures Presents" text, it stops (for at least in the YT video's length).
