@@MrSimon1909 If you don't know how creative the whole Tom vs Jerry dynamic is idk what is, usually dual character (puppet user) in fighting game *work* with their duo (or puppet) which is not the case for Tom & Jerry, the dev instead of being lazy are just make them work normally together in term of animation they make them fight each other instead, we can also see some of Tom and Jerry moveset Tom can actually get *damaged* by Jerry if it fail to hit anyone in between their tug of war.

@@MrSimon1909 They literally make Tom and Jerry do their thing in a fighting game settings and it flow extremely well, this is not a matter of if it creative or not but that how dense can someone like you be.
Tom & Jerrry have some of the coolest animations ever. It's literally those two just trying to fight each other. It's great. LOL.

Pros: love the animation and creative movesets
Cons: everything feels weightless. There's no hitstop, and jumping and falling feels like sliding. Improve this, and the game will be flawless
What makes playing Smash satisfying is that the animations and weight they convey are convincing. Hopefully this game improves on that because right now, IMO, the game doesn't convey that same feel and it makes the game look cheap than it really is.

I agree, this game has some serious potential, but the hits, the sound design and the movement all seem a but weak and lackluster. Hits should do have knowback / hitsun, hits should sound like they matter and the movement needs some weight to it, it's too floaty.
Althought, I didn't touche the game yet, and I hope I'm wrong about the movement and hits. However, if it is indeed not as good as I expected it to be at first and the community dislike how slow the game seems to be, I hope they listen to the community and fix the game up.
Really hope this game succeeds, free to play crossplay with rollback netcode is a huge step. Super smash left a horrible itch and it bothers me how a multi million company can't even have a decent netcode.

The ring out animations , character voice acting, combos even the whole aesthetic to the look & lobby music to character quips to each other in battle is amazing. I like how consistent Tony is with the community w updates & working hard to bring this to life. Keep it up!! Can’t wait to enjoy it as much as this play test in the video.

Remember that the Knockout graphics are interchangeable, so if you have favorites, you can use one of them in your profile.

What I like about this game:
- The Sound effects
- The simple to learn but hard to master design philosophy.
- The character models
- The visual and audio reference
What I do not like:
- It is hard to tell what is going on, from am spectator standpoint.
- The strikes really lack an impact, it feels too much floaty when the characters strike their opponents.
- The background music sounds very low.
i srsyly hope they improve the sound, it really sounded like a straw swatting a paper cup at some points.

Also the damage numbers underneath the characters kind of make a hard to tell what’s going on at times , they should put that damage meter near the names .
I feel like the combat is a little slow due to the attack animations being too long. I also feel like there's not enough recoil for the hit player on some of the attacks
I really really like the little KO splash animations. Like the “that’s all folks!” Logo, Spike, and the Great Mushroom Bomb going off. Super neat detail.
This really looks like a lot of fun. I can't wait to play this with my friends. I also found it funny that the devs played as superman and shaggy because those two are going to be my mains

I think he Tony confirmed cross progression on Twitter. He actually answered a buttload of questions and he still is today I'm pretty sure.
It's crazy how this game has cross progression although it hasn't been out yet while there are many popular games out there that don't have it

This game looks AWESOME!!! The voice acting is pretty good, the ringout animations are a really nice feature, and I could tell that a lot of creativity went into this game. I can't wait to get my hands on this game whenever it comes out!

You just care that it's free that's all. Gamers are becoming cheaper and cheaper yet they want companies to pull out all the big guns on their games as long as they don't have to buy the game themselves.
@@pixel1419 reason people are hyped because its free is because fighters die out fast, F2P is crucial for a succesful game. See Brawlhalla. People still spend money on skins. NASB failed for many reasons one of them it being too expensive.

This looks amazing! I really like how the battles focusing on knockouts and not individual lives for each team member. My only gripes are: 1) I don't really like how far and fast the characters are able to air dodge. 2) I don't like the damage numbers being tracked beneath each character. They're a little to big if they keep it that way, but I'd prefer they be stationary at the top or bottom of the screen. Also coloring the numbers as damage increases would be better.
The UI is customizable, so you can have the HUD be similar to Smash.

Although the percentage display under the characters gets in the way of where the opponent is when fighting in the air, this game is looking solid

This looks very promising already, just the fan service alone makes it worth it, along with the attention to detail and how everything merges together within the presentation.
Played this game during the last alpha and I can’t wait till everyone can play this game it’s so fun and refreshing for any type of player!

i think the problem here is no one is being honest with the devs. The game looks beautiful, it’s very flashy, music is great and animations are great but it’s all looks. Gameplay wise i feel like they aren’t getting enough feedback and everyone is just shouting how “amazing” it all looks and sounds. But the game needs better physic mechanics the whole gameplay looks weightless, everyone appears to floats/ slides as if all are in the same weight category. Now that they have all the flashy stuff down they need to hammer on the gameplay and really polish the game out it doesn’t need to be a “better smash bros” to succeed just needs to be unique and it already looks very good. I just feel each character now needs to be define a weight category and reflect that weight in game - doesn’t make any sense seeing all characters flying/ floating/ sliding around as if they all are the same just with a different look and attacks.
of course they won't say anything that could possibly be perceived as negative, this is really just another ad for the game

Tbh they don't have to follow a weight if they don't want too. You can control your speed fall, toggle it on and off which is neat. That's why it looks that way to you I think. But the weight is probably the same for all tanks, same for others of the class. You can't ask it to have smash related things, which you are asking it to have cause it's what we know. Team related game with team abilities to support and classes for every character is great. I don't think weight is a valid criticism, especially since we can't even tell yet lol
This is how you do a platform fighter in this day in age.

The creator of Mao Mao (Parker Simmons) did say that the show was green lit for season 2 some time ago but we haven’t heard much news about it so the show is l pretty much on a hiatus

This looks great so far! I know that this is going to be 2v2 centered, but I would love to see some more 1v1 action sometime.
I literally love everything about this game, but I feel like sometimes there is no sound when someone gets punched. The audio seems to not pick up on a hit to a character every so often.
I'm already loving this game! Keep being creative!
I do hope that it'll be available on the Nintendo Switch at some point, but only one way to find out really.
Anyway, keep on expanding, and keep making this the best game it can be!

The more you think about it, the crazier it gets. If this is what the gameplay is like, imagine all the characters that's going to be added. Ben 10, Lebron James, The Warner Bros. (and Sister), Powerpuff Girls. Hell, I heard rumors that Sesame Street and JoJo could even be added.

I love the little details like characters from the same setting getting unique voice lines either fighting together or against each other
Nice showcase! I think in the future it'd be nice to keep comms on or get a commentator to talk over the match. Since the music is fairly low, there was a lot of dead air aside from intermittent quips from the characters and that can make the game feel less impactful than it is. The game looks amazing & having that human element would make it that much more exciting to watch!

I didn't know this was 2v2 only so that's kind of a let down but it's a unique take so I'll hold my reservations

I think it's interesting to see the devs play on keyboard and void playing on controller, that means the game's gonna be balanced for both all kinds of controls
I hope they let us configure stuff on keyboard because keyboard tilts and smash attacks will be weird
Seeing both Nakat and Void here and in the Grand Finals feels different.
I'm super excited about the arrival of this game, From the gameplay and all the various announcements I am noticing that the development team is with all their energy putting their heart into this game and everything that surrounds it. In short, my expectations are very high for Multiversus and I hope the result will be a fun and competitive game that will give us so many surprises.
The characters need like a super special move and they need to tone down the floating of all the characters, they feel very floaty
As someone who has been playing and will be streaming this on may 19th this game is amazing! The 2v2 aspect is so fun and competitive working together and using you and your duos abilities or combos together is so fun and fluid. Moments where you can send an enemy and your teammate can come in and harass makes it very fun and intense! Love this game can’t wait to see more characters released! On top it all hearing the characters taunt each other with new voice lines referencing each other and skins having different voice lines or voices makes it even more entertaining and hilarious!
This game looks awesome! I hope you guys can add some camera shake or something and increase the speed of some moves to emphasize POWER. Maybe some more background music too to make it feel even more finished. Love it tho and can’t wait to play beta!

The things i like most about MultiVersus is that you can customize stuff to your liking, the game is free, so when it releases, i can get to playing the game immediately, and that there's a lot of creativity put into this. Keep up the good work, guys!

If I can give critique here, the red border effect when a strong hit happens was a bit distracting, along with some of the other visual flairs. I think if there were options to turn individual effects on and off that would be an effective way to fix the problem.

Some recommendations to put in future ranked mode updates, put a two player option on the same screen (that is, two players in the same video game) and solve the bugs of the custom rooms, a very good game with great potential, just make an effort and bring the best for us players, who will be even more successful
