Mari, I cooked scarlet runner a few times, and I love it the way you did! When they dry I don’t like them that much because the skin stays a little tough. Let me know when you try, and bring those good northeast Brazilian recipes on! Can’t wait! ❤
Good to know! Now I want to buy some dry ones to try. I saw that “Rancho Gordo” sells them for cooking. Glad to hear you liked the Northeast recipe 🥰 I’ll try to post some more. This would be a “favada” for us there :)
You’re very welcome, Emma! I thought of you at the garden group when you mentioned the runner beans a little while ago :) Did you try making anything with them yet?
I so much enjoy your cooking videos. This looks amazing! In a future video when you cook with cumin, could you please explain a bit about that spice? I did not grow up with it so I don’t know how, when or what to use it on. I do like using spices in my dishes and may like to include cumin at some point. Thanks Mari!
Yes I can! I’m loving all of these comment suggestions. Please keep them coming 🥰 I’m going to write all of them down. So glad you are enjoying the cooking videos. Thank you so much for always watching 💚🌱
I would wear jewelry made out of those beans! Can't wait to try this at home, I'll use a different bean fro now, what type would you recommend as a substitute?
I love it! It’s very peaceful here and beautiful now with the fall colors. The leaves are starting to turn in our property everything looks so beautiful. I feel grateful every morning to be able to see it :)
@@MarisGardenandKitchen well enjoy it, you deserve it, I can’t wait to see how you will turn the land in February. I’m also looking to move out of queens with my grandkids I want them to enjoy the beauty of living away from the noise n want to teach them hardening.
Unfortunately I didn’t write a recipe for the broth I made. I just added some dried smoked peppers, charred onion and garlic and some spices together with the chicken bones and water ( I didn’t measure anything) But you can use the canned “chipotle in adobo” that is commonly found in grocery stores added with regular chicken broth :)
Thank you Chef Mari. Looks yummy!
Looks yummy 😋 thank you for sharing your recipe
That looks really yummy! I haven’t grown scarlet runner beans in years, but I will definitely have to grow them next season! Thank you!
Thank you! I was surprised by how good they tasted. I’m glad to hear you’re inspired to grow them again 🌱

@@mariadorosariolyra1068 eu me inspirei nas favas aí do nordeste pra fazer essa receita. Deve ficar muito bom com fava tbm 😋
@@MarisGardenandKitchen Nós só fazemos com águas e sal.
Vou fazer assim agora!
Ah! As cores dos feijões são lindas.

The ones from the stores can be a bit spicy so just make sure to add to taste
