    Good timing on this! I just grabbed the Raw in a 58 with the 12W grind -- in the Catalyst graphite shaft, on a bit of a whim -- really looking forward to working with it as it performed amazingly inside when I just messed around with it in the sim -- cheers lads!

    Personally I have 2 callaway clubs in my almost all Taylormade set up. I play a 19 degree xr hybrid which is awesome and a c grind Mack daddy 4 58/08. I have had vokeys, Cleveland, Trusty Rusty and quite a few others over time. I won't be getting rid of the md 4 anytime soon, it is just the best, I can control it better than any other lob wedge I have ever had. So versatile. I never tried md5 but may try the Jaws at some point, but I doubt it will offer me anything extra tbh. Great video guys. Scotty Cameron Select m1 is by far the best putter I have ever owned. Tried loads of others but the scotty is sublime.

    I love hearing people in England talking about glare on their wedges when I live in Spain and have never noticed this or found it to be a problem

    Guys I’m with you on using a club in black is about the glare unfortunately when I was fitted for my titleist I didn’t check to see if they had any in black as I have been caught out a few times in the last month or so

    My Golf Spy did a study, rust on a wedge doesn’t help spin at all. The thing with raw finish is supposedly it not being plated so possibly the grooves are sharper. As much as all that is highly regulated I don’t see how that could be true but to each his or her own, as to what they like 😊

    • @liamriddy358
      @liamriddy358 Год назад

      Raw wedges can feel softer but correct in that they do not spin more.

      They might be an advantage for a tour player changing constantly

    Gilly is always a favourite of mine, love him on the channel. Love the look of the wedges, certainly a more traditional looking wedge across the range. Being a Ping player, my 54 looks like the eye 2 wedge which is not a favourite of mine but it doesn't bother me that much.

    You guys should get going on a lot more studio stuff. Some good content can be had from there via challenges/digital tournaments/ladders etc. especially as the weather turns nasty. Keep it up

    May have been better. When Chris was holding the two wedges and describing the difference in the bounces, a close up on the bounces would have made it easier to understand why. Good effort. Still on the fence about specialty wedges.

    Problem I find with black finish clubs is they swallow the light, if that makes sense. I just think one gets better contrast look when addressing the ball with a brighter finish, although I do get Lester’s comment about the glare. Horses for courses.

    Great Video👍,but detest raw face wedges 😮,loved MD4 wedges, poor results when tested Jaw’s 50deg wedge (2years ago) Scuffed up golf balls in test, groves too aggressive, My favourite Wedge’s Callaway Mack Daddy PM grind, 56deg x 13deg bounce think there no longer available (why) full face groves, superb design sole, high toe Phil Mickelson designed input, looking to replace it (5 years old) may need to change to TaylorMade Hi-Toe 3😬, Dickey 9hcp 75year Senior Golfer

    Just went with the Jaws Raw 48 and 54 degree wedges both in the 10S model. Got the 54 degree wedge at the sporting goods store, waiting on the 48 to be delivered by Callaway. Havent used on the course yet. Looking forward to it. I didnt care for having to use acetone to remove adhesive from the club face. I have to believe there is a solution to that issue that should be implemented ASAP by Callaway. I have been extremely pleased with Callaway products and service. This was the first questionable instance.

      Was there a sticker on the face?

    • @cleveland2022
      @cleveland2022 Год назад

      @@DanHendriksenGolf Yes there was a white tab that had an adhesive , that I pulled off as slowly as possible, under the clear plastic wrapping around the club face, and this dark grey adhesive was stuck to the club face. I searched on the web for solutions and this issue doesnt seem to be an isolated issue, as I tried Goo Gone and baby oil with a towel with minimal results. The acetone did the trick though. Loved your video though. Great stuff
