God they were barely out of the starting blocks when they played Live 8. I was working with loads of guys at HMV here in Belfast that knew them still. Huge. you can see in their faces how amazing it was for them.
The strangest thing is I have this memory of watching it and wincing because Gary was horribly off tune for the choruses. And yet he's totally not, he soars.
