You make the Empress Echosystem sound great and enjoyed your comparison videos as well. Have you had a chance to try the Empress Reverb and how do you like it? I'm thinking about maybe going with both the Echosytem and Reverb pedal by Empress. Thanks
this is my favourite demo of this pedal so far, absolute bliss very glad i chose this over the timeline now :) any tips for running this in stereo?, will be running through my twin reverb and hot rod deluxe
now the question is, this or the Volante? Obviously this is more like the timeline as far as having many different delays, but I've never much liked the timeline, the echo system is amazing! I saw your video on the Volante and it sounded unbeatable for those drum/tape sounds.... what do ya think? Are the sounds that good in the Volante to make it worth it?
haha fair enough... I will probably stick with my echosystem, but ya never know! I've got too many delays, and want to re-purchase a couple (the caroline kilobyte, and the obn black fountain, those two in series are incredible.) Walrus Bellwether would also be a re-purchase as a want rather than a "need" just to have around. and I have this crazy idea for a deluxe "real" pedalboard (true spring reverb etc) and the T-rex replicator would go on that board. soo see volante is kinda low on the list hahaha
I did an A/B test with the volante and the echo system. I kept the volante, but the echo system was very close. I will be buying an echo system again eventually, because of all its various sounds and versatility. I just couldn’t keep both financially. It’s the best multi effect delay still. It’s also substantially smaller so for a live set up it’s both easier to use and saves pedalboard real estate. Hope this helps!
@@danielnovak1780 yeah thats where I'm leaning the echosystem has much better algorithms and variation but the volante seems like a better music making tool with the looper and interaction controls and UI. Thank you for the response.
It's wild how many players have Timelines when either an Echosystem or Nemesis blow those out of the water. They both sound better (IMO) but the Echosystem has cooler routing options and the Nemesis saves cash.
LeTTaRS it’s because those pedals don’t actually blow the Timeline out of the water. This is kind of like saying I don’t understand why people are using Fender amps when Vox and Marshall blow them out of the water. I think Strymon has put a lot of work into their algorithms which is evident when you play them. I have played through them all and they all have great sounds. I just keep the Timeline because it checks most of the boxes for me and still sounds great! DelayDude does a great job showcasing some of the sounds here in the echosystem but the lack of the screen makes this and the Nemesis hard for me to use.
I have an echosystem. I love it. But if I had a timeline I’d love that too. Shit, remember when ANY delay pedal was nuts? I think we can all agree that we have reached a rediculously fun golden age of pedal making. We should probably just enjoy playing them and worry too much about which absurdly capable pedals are popular this week.
That wasn’t meant to be snide. It’s just a great time to be into sound mangling. FWIW I can’t imagine a time when the timeline doesn’t hold up. Maybe in a year when the first Quadra delay comes out, sounds like muddy shit, and everyone’s minds get blown.
@@delaydude I’m torn. I have the volante which I love. Your tonal recall chase blissed convinced me that I had to have that pedal and I love. I’d love to have a killer digital delay with modulation which I was leaning towards the free the tone future factory, but this one kinda has everything. Would love to see you do a demo of the free the tone future factory. Your demos are always helpful!
Does the empress have spillover and trails? Thanks
As in does it trail out or abruptly end between patches and bypassing?

how do you have the outs on the pedal routed?
does it have Midi capability?

@@onehellofameme6166 The ES had a looper, FYI. Just need an SD card and the latest firmware.

How hard is it to get to know this pedal

@@delaydude I just know you’ll convince me to get that one too 😰😰. Lol! I surely don’t need three delay pedals do I? 😂
