  • I have had several people ask me about how to fix rhinestone templates that come into Cricut the wrong size. Here is a video that shows you how to do that.

    Yesterday, I started looking through one of your other videos to see where you showed how to check the rhinestone hole size using the "contour" option.
    Idea: Can you do a video like this one showing how to check the rhinestone hole size in Cricut?

    I open my design in cricut, the svg looks good but it turns up messed up with rhinestones not in place once I upload it to cricut. How can you fix it?

    If I buy a template that is tshirt size, but want to resize it for a smaller item such as a hat or pocket, would it change the hole size, and need smaller rhinestones? How do I know the size?

    • @MakingwithMarilyn
      @MakingwithMarilyn  Месяц назад

      Yes, if you resize the design smaller, each of the little holes will also get smaller. To go from a full sized shirt size to a hat or pocket size wouldn't really be feasible. You can make an SS10 stone design smaller to an SS6 stone design. You basically decrease the size of the design until the .130 inch holes become .102 inches.

    • @MakingwithMarilyn
      @MakingwithMarilyn  Год назад

      It is not unusual for that to happen so I would resize the designs to the intended size. I'm glad you found that video:)

    can you upload straight into design space and skip ss

    • @MakingwithMarilyn
      @MakingwithMarilyn  Год назад

      If you purchase a rhinestone template, you can upload straight into Design Space. But, there is a good chance it will come in an incorrect size, so you need to resize it before you start working with it. If you have any other questions, let me know. Thanks for watching!

    Hi , my name is Sabrina I’m new to rhinestones . I purchased the rhinestone Cheer font from Etsy. The stones are ss10 because I’m spelling out my name how would I know what width and height my name should be

    • @MakingwithMarilyn
      @MakingwithMarilyn  2 месяца назад

      Is it a true font that you use as a font or is it a file of letters? If it is a true font where you actually type out your name, then the designer should tell you what your font size should be. If it's a file of letters, they should also give you dimensions. If you don't have the guidance, you can check the hole size used and it should be .13 to .135. What cutter are you using?

      Question does the size of the hole change when you are resizing ?

    • @MakingwithMarilyn
      @MakingwithMarilyn  Год назад +2

      @@ladyvanessawhite6647 Yes, when you change the size of the overall design, the hole size does change. So, when you use a rhinestone template file, before you cut it out, you want to check to make sure it came into your software the correct overall size. They often come into Cricut Design Space the wrong size.
