@@artimusclydefrogit really doesn’t. You have to lead shots on genji so aim assist really doesn’t help. You have to choose between slow precise aim and suffer reduced mobility or high sense, good mobility and worse aim in console
@@Day-vg1bh console aim assist accounts for projectiles - as long as you move your stick in the *mostly* correct direction it will correct the input for perfect tracking - someone who is good with a controller will have basically auto aim
@@artimusclydefrogno it does not, you still need the lead shots. Aim assist slows down your cursor when near or on the enemy hit box however it does not physically adjust and calculate trajectory for you to be able to get free kills with a projectile or even a hit scan tbh. The only person that aim assist is godly on is Ana and that only applies when you’re aiming at teammates to heal them.

I was a high GM genji in console in 2016-2018 I had max sensitivity no aim smoothing and no aim assist, that was the only way I could turn around fast enough lol

@@zM93B I don’t play on console anymore but I didn’t like how it dragged my aim but I’d say it’s personal preference tbh whatever you are used to
I'm a console player and I can say that this guy is not at the gold or platinum level at all but with more dedication and aiming training he can improve a lot and fix the sensitivity
I'd say gamesense can have an enormous affect on level, I'm plat rn but accuracy is alright, but gamesense is what helped me, used to lose while fighting 2 to 3 player by myself for 16 seconds at a time, but time couldn't secure space unless I was helping them finish off kills
Came from console, almost forgot how ass controller is for Genji players especially. PC is 100% the way if u can

I just wanna say ur my genji inspiration, ppl tell me to swap genji because he's weak or they have counters, but the only way to be good against the counters is by fighting them
But in comp if you are doing bad with genji against your counters.Aren’t you technically throwing? I am also a genji main btw but I swap to ashe or cass if enemy starts running counters.

well how else do you improve, some may consider it throwing but it's me trying to learn how to fight my counters, in gold counters would mess me up and in silver as well, now I'll make gold and silver counters swap off counters because it isn't effective

I’m plat 1 with decent mechanics yet usually 80% of the time I go against masters-top 500 challengers their mechanics just far outweigh mine and that’s my downfall. And I may be taking it to the extreme here, but I feel like game-sense although it’s very important, doesn’t matter if you miss all of your shots but idk

Not all I am diamond 5 and my accuracy is 45% and zero aim smoothing and 100,100 sensitivity it’s all about hard work and never giving up and getting used to your settings also how aiming feels on your sensitivity

Something I think is worth mentioning is that there’s no fov slider on console so that could be why they aren’t as aware of their surroundings visually

I can’t speak for pc but on console low and high ranks are completely different games in my experience, went from gold 1 or play 5 idk to high masters and believe me it’s so much better

Im a console genji main and playing him is tuff especially low ranks because your team is just awful but its worth playing him because he’s so fun and I literally carry every game
I play with max sensitivity it's pretty good but aim assist helps a ton, plus I have an elevated analog stick for better control, and 2 extra back buttons for melee and dash, L1 is my jump
what I noticed is even if you can't fight 2 or 3 ppl and get out alive or kill 1 or 2 the front line still loses, so I started helping my team confirm kills instead and getting between the healers and tanks for heals because tank is always dieing from poor cover so support can't even look away, went from gold 5 to plat 2/4, with that

I’m a Master console genji player that uses very high sensitivity and I recommend it 1000% to try it and get used to it. It lets you 180 easily and can easily get in and out of fights.

Quiiiiick question. Wanted to know if anybody had any tips for battling beam characters? I always find myself having to switch when I see a beam character, but I feel that just takes away from practicing genji
beam are usually brawl, so high ground control is usually helpful or baiting out cooldowns from far with ur team. sym I normally do a bigger flank and ping the laser turrets, wait for team to start fighting or just before fight, I'll start taking out turrets at a distance on high ground
Moira have to practice headshots and deflecting orb, so I keep a lil distance deflect orb while trying headshots, dash back to team or dash to finish her depending if I'm hitting shots. Moira has a slow time to kill without orb, making her look up and away from her team can be good value
I'm only like low plat. highest being plat 2
zarya if fresh fight land some headshots cuz she's weak, call out her bubbles, take high ground and annoy her or the backline

I was high plat/mid diamond and not all plats are like this. Some are much better.
