''Remember when the boys are all electric'' is a double entendre. It could mean that, in the past the 'boys' as in this woman's lovers are all still sexually active, explicitly speaking. Or it could also have an almost literal meaning, that 'boys' in this case are sex toys, and electric is referencing those that are electric(vibrators, etc.). Both could make sense, in the context of the song, which is adolescence.
Martin Anthonyo i thought that it meant the boys played electric guitar for some reason just the things that subsciously pops into mind. But yr interpretation does have alchemical meaning. Men are electric and women are magnetic in the electromagnetic spectrum.
