MINI CARAMEL APPLES
==================================
INGREDIENTS
=============
Apples (I used green apples)
Caramel (to melt)
Crushed Walnuts (optional)
(+) Cake Pop Sticks
(+) A melon scooper

INSTRUCTIONS:
==================
1) Use the melon scooper/baller to pull out small spheres of apple
2) Stick a Cake Pop Stick in each one
3) Melt the caramel (I did by slowly bringing it to a boil in a sauce pan, but I think you need to use a double boiler set-up to avoid cooking the caramel to a rock-hard consistency! Oops!)
4) Dab the caramel apple into the crushed walnuts
5) Leave to dry/set!

I'm so glad to see you back again. I love your videos, especially the plush movies. The voice acting is on point, the stories are engaging and funny, and the songs are so charming. I used to watch them all the time.
About the apples, though: Perhaps you should try adding some milk to the caramel next time. ^^; Or maybe buy those chewy caramel squares to melt for it instead.
Thank you for the nice comment! For the caramel, the ones from the bag I used were chewy/soft, but I think a big problem with my approach to the recipe was that I melted them directly on the stove instead of using a double boiler. Cooking the caramel the way I did can make the consistency harden, instead of leaving it soft and chewy still. >w

I made Caramel apples yesterday...but I'm not sure if they're okay...I had to make the caramel from scratch...and, I don't know, it tastes fine, but the texture is a tidbit sandy...I don't know what I did wrong.
Next time pat down the apple bits with a paper kitchen towel and thin the caramel with a little bit of cream. Coat the apple with the caramel and tap your wrist to let the excess caramel drip off. After you coat the apple in caramel and nuts, put it on the grease-proof paper (parchment paper/wax paper) lightly dusted with icing sugar (confectionery sugar?) or in a cakepop stand. If you want a thick coating of caramel it's better to do it in layers rather than all at once or it will drip like it did in your video

also i think its cause you used store bought instead of home made Caramel.. some day try this same recipy but instead of buying caramel use
2 cups heavy cream
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1/4 cup water
Pinch salt
4 tablespoons butter, cut into chunks
and cook and whisk in a sause pan..
Caramel apples & Knuckles... just keeping that meme rolling.

This one is our Thanksgiving one, actually >w< I tried to make it a day or so ahead of time so people could try the recipe for Thanksgiving if they wanted to -- uh, but I sort of messed up the recipe myself, haha. I hope if other people tried it, they were more successful!

Yup, apples on a stick was the consolation prize xD My cousins really liked eating just the plain apples in a unique way. They weren't bothered by the caramel part failing, they just felt bad for me xD oops

Hello! That's the same voice actor we've always had for Shadow, but it's been years since he's performed as Shadow and we're all still sort of getting used to our roles again xD ;; He actually sent me two full takes of his lines with different Shadow voices, trying to get close to the Shadow voice he was using before. We just need to practice again after such a long hiatus :)

Rouge, I have a idea. Take a sponge (a old sponge) and stick the end of the stick into the sponge. (The reason why I said a old sponge is because the caramel might clip off the Apple slice a little bit. ) Like I said this is only an idea. Hope this helps next time you make mini carmel apples

Just some advice about this recipe: You should probably peel the skins off all of the apples before you use the melon scooper. The Apple Skins taste too papery.
Actually, 1/3 of the apples WERE peeled. :) There was a scene I cut out of this video for time, where Shadow peeled the third apple so we could try it without the appleskins as well, but we had exactly the same problem whether they were peeled or not. OwO;; Taste-wise, though, the appleskins were fine. I at least put some apple pieces on a stick for my cousins, and they were quite happy to eat them that way xD

Oh, they were definitely not edible xD The result of my efforts, food-wise, was terrible, but at least failing the recipe made for a somewhat funnier video xD Not everything goes according to plan. Hopefully the next Sonic Chefs episode will be more successful, hahaha. I'd like to teach people how to cook things, but I barely know how to cook myself OwO;;; It's a learning experience for all of us, lol
