  • INSPIRATION
The journey of women and the journey of a woman.
Rites of passage, milestones: birth, sisterhood, betrothal, marriage, mourning.
A shredded silk paper taffeta wedding dress, a delicate white embroidered christening gown, dark Ophelia silks, kept in a trousseau, folded with pressed flowers. Heirlooms and keepsakes connect the threads between generations. Hidden treasures, pilgrim souvenirs. Clothing embedded with memories and meaning.
Goddess - from warrior queen to the feminine divine - surveying the rich and vivid landscape before her. Present in nature: the earth, the sea, the sky, the seasons, the sun and the moon.
The rural landscapes of the West Country: chalk downs and ridgeways and ancient sacred sites. Curving hills are marked with carvings of white horses and mythical beasts. Crimson poppies line the walkways to stone circles and hill top castles imbued with a sense of mystery and legend that seeps through the land. The Avalon marshes with their meandering paths and streams edged with tangled wild yellow iris are veiled in mist and evoke the spirit of medieval beauty. A world steeped in pagan ritual and folkloric tradition: the summer solstice and the equinox.

I just wish people would leave Sarah Burton alone. There are some beautiful pieces in this collection. She is enabling the McQueen brand to evolve. She remains very loyal to McQueen's vision but at the same time softening and feminising the brand and adding her own mark. Not one of her best collection to date but some stunning dresses. Well done Sarah. The only thing I didn't like or get was those huge Union Jack humps on the catwalk?! What's all that about?!

Está repitiendo sus colecciones, la amo, pero creó que a Sarah ya se le olvidó que McQueen era sinónimo de innovación y shows inolvidables.

Alexander McQueen was unique, a genius. I like some of Sarah Burton's collections (spring-summer 2012 was amazing), but this one ... I don't know. To me, it looks like a mix between the 80's and a far-west saloon, and - I'm sorry to say it - I don't really like it. I hope the next collection will be better

Don't you see the poetry behind this collection? If you look back at the whole legacy of "Lee" McQueen, you can be transported into this journey and see the magic behind the details and techniques used.

Everton Is Right, Sara is Using McQueens Silhouettes and Structure BUT they are to Clean And COLD to look At, almost lifeless. Seems to me that Sarah is Afraid to Play, Distort and add Edge to them. Im afraid this House Will FADE out for a While Until another Visionary Designer comes in.

True it does have details in it as I look through the photos, it is amazing actually. Honestly, it is quite hard to notice by only watching the video. At first I think "OMG this is all she have done these seasons AGAIN", but it actually worth the love🖤

never mind how can she be ruining the brand if she is still working for it.... Daaaa
      Lee is dead and gone.
