Hi Katie, this sounds interesting to me. I will take a 6 months course in data analysis and machine learning. And after that,I want to specialise in GIS. I have a Bsc in geography.
I am.masters but Still feel a data analyst and ML certificate would help get a good job.

I think that to be a GIS analyst I need to know a lot about other fields or industries. Would you recommend to learn more about of different subjects like economics and business along with the GIS skills or wait till I can land a job to see what kind of industry I'm getting into to do a more efficient research.
General business knowledge and project management will always be helpful. But the details of an industry will come once you start working in it.
Hey Katie, I loved your video. I just had a quick question if you don’t mind answering. I got a bachelors in Poli Sci, and am now getting a certificate in GIS, all I want is a simple GIS analyst job, do you think this is obtainable? Don’t really care about pay, just want a job lol.

Hey Thomas, I actually took a very similar route with a BA in Pol Sci. I am very data driven and particularly took courses involving statistics. I am very inclined to get a GIS certificate. How has your journey been?
