I think the rake is a significant consideration. Most Low Stakes games drop $5-7 (including Promos) so is it worth it to call too wide? Let's say 1-2 and it is raised to $5....$1 drop plus $2 promo makes that pot only $7 to start. Also (as others have noted) often times initial raises in Live low stakes is 4x-7x ($12-$20 in a 1-3 game is common). Assuming you just tighten up accordingly, with a larger percentage of 3-bets vs. calls.
This is very confusing. I'm looking at the Red Chip GTO ranges app and six max, GTO AND Exploitative, call or three-bet for button open from BB are ranges of under 25%. How can yours be showing you 44%?
Watch this then go play live $1-$2 facing a $10 BTN open from a recreational player who limps medium hands and raises strong hands... 10% rake up to $5 plus $1 for the bad beat jackpot... you should defend very very tight even if you can occasionally steal the pot from them post flop their range is way stronger and tighter than it should be and you're out of position and the pot will be raked... completely different defense frequency but most people will try to "defend their blind" way too wide
I'm sorry, WHAT? 🤨 I'm supposed to defend an open raise out of position, when I'm in the big blind, when I have 5,2s???????? 😅🤭 I'm sorry, something must be wrong with that solver.... Although I do recall winning a bigger pot in a battle royal on GG a few weeks ago doing something along those lines, it was fun. I rivered a flush.... 😅
In most games, I would say defending 52s against a button open is a mistake. The lower the rake and the smaller the open size, the more realistic it can become.
@@TheGameKat Right, sizing matters, too. I forget that often times when I watch these videos. Also, I've started playing Poker in 2011 and almost never played live... 😅
in live low stakes(1/2) the drop needs to be taken into consideration. also most opens are anywhere from 4bb to 7.5bb

Its quite hard defending 53s against a strong player. Often it also goes 3bb raise, call...bb defend is easier. It is counter intuitive.

For the situation when BTN opens in 6-max, the rGTO ranges in the app give 29.6% BB calls and a 14.3% 3-bet range.

How to adjust when the pot is multiway?
If online and the SB calls that's an indication of a weak recreational player since most regs 3 bet or fold from the SB

That's not what I asked
Well, my name is Ralf, so I always fold K,J.... 😅🤭
(If you get that joke)

It's sensitive to the size of the open. For example, for a 4x open as is common in live games, Red Chip's app has 52s as a clear fold.
