Tire pressure monitors saved my life this past weekend. Punctured my front tire at speed, it let me know there was an issue, and I was able to exit the hiway safely, and not crash.

Years ago (3 or 4) there was a prototype floating around that would actively measure the distance between the ground and its fixed point on the wheel's axle. And it would quite decently math out when your tire pressure was going down. Never followed it up, kinda wonder how they eliminated tilt from the calculations.
Most crashes on straight roads are from people either avoiding animals and crashing into someone. Or someone trying to overtake dangerously. That or an unfortunate tyre blow out.
I'm curious what the rules there are, in regards to turning vehicles giving way to pedestrians in the cross walk...RJ seems to have parlayed his lane-splitting skills to pothole-splitting.
+RoyalJordanian appreciate the paranoia those deflation monitors cause.. I don't ride a bike (yet) but have them on my Focus ST - immediately panic if they show and have to check etc. it's usually just being over sensitive haah
Nathan Dubois well yes and no, according to the law its illegal yes but its still been allowed when done with care. I dont think the situation from the dutch rider was with care in the end. But filtering in traffic jams and sometines filtering past police cars hasnt given me any problems.
