- Rarely seen and even better than the performance he gave at Worlds in Vienna of the same program. It's wonderful to have another opportunity to see his virtuosity on full display.

Great choice of music. Beautiful skating. Beautiful lines. Poetry in motion ❤
Just so beautiful.... Robin Cousins was such an exquisitely graceful skater, his spins, often in both directions, were just wonderful. Such a talent.
Thanks for sharing this.
Robin always had elegant lines and skated with sophistication and a beautiful style! Floskate, thank you for sharing!
Gorgeous program. The elegance of Robin’s lines is incredible, along with extremely strong jumps. His reaction to the marks is so cute!
I love how appreciative the audience is to Robin's gorgeous skating. Thank you for this unseen gem Flo, and I wish you a Merry Christmas. :)
Thank you for posting this! Robin Cousins remains my favourite figure skater of all time. I was an ecstatic young girl when I saw him perform this live during the interval of the ice dance competition the following evening. I had loved him before, but it was then that I first noticed Torvill & Dean, and although they finished 6th that evening, I was delighted by them, too. In my eyes, both they and Robin were the best 🙂
Perfect. I fully agree with you. Complete talented, Jane,Chris and Robin, just like Roger Federer, Usain Bolt, and only little few other ones were....
Just had to come back and re-watch that beautiful Camel into sit spin again! I really love and appreciate your channel so much. Thank you 🙏🏽
Ah you're so welcome. It's great that people can relive skating history and appreciate it. So many wonderful talented skaters from the past to enjoy. If you have any requests, just ask!
thanks so much for posting this... just gorgeous skating... the flow and speed over the ice!!
Thanks so much for posting this wonderfully powerful performance, full of grace and charisma! I am saddened by the prospect that we may never see free skates like this, as long as the current rule remains in effect, emphasizing busy and cluttered choreographies and constant motions over purity, clean lines, sustained edges, and beauty within simplicity
I would have loved to see this level of performance at the Worlds in Vienna, though, even with the three tiny errors here (the spread eagle entry, the doubled 3T, and the final 2A). Here, the program feels more complete and the final split flip (which I don’t think we saw in Vienna) is simply magical-although I do prefer the choreographic details in Vienna from 2:22~.
Was not expecting that 2 flip-2 lutz combo!
Преодолел земную гравитацию! Не по льду скользит, но в воздухе!
Wowwww muy limpia técnica!! Para su época un genio!
Да, гениально❤
And still is a genius 😅
Великолепный фигурист❤
Felicidades linda ejecución
I've waited for years for someone to post this on YT and it's no surprise that the ever resourceful floskate has found it. I think this is in the top 3 of Robin's amateur performances with just two little errors on the spread eagle and the last double axel, but they were miniscule. I think all that's missing on YT of Robin's medal winning international performances 1977-1980 are Europeans 1980, Ennia Challenge Cup 1979 and his free from Skate Canada 1977 (his short is already on). Thanks once again floskate and have a Happy Christmas.
Gothenburg isn't on here? I have that definitely. Don't have Ennia from 1979 or 1977 Skate Canada FS. DIdn't he have to fly back to the UK in between the SP and the LP at Ennia to skate an exhibition? I'm sure I read that and that it did affect his free skate there.
@@floskate No I've never found Gothenburg 1980 on here. I was at that exhibition he did between the short and long at Ennia. It was during the interval of the British Ice Dance Championships in 1979 at Nottingham (remember when the ice dance championships were separate from the singles and pairs championships) and what an excellent night of skating it proved to be: Torvill and Dean, Barber and Slater in competition and Robin in the interval!
@@npe1 I'll upload 1980 Euro's this evening.
@@npe1 having issues. Please email me - username at hotmail dot com thanks
@@floskate first of all thanks a lot for the fantastic video! He is really amazing... you wrote that you will upload 1980 EURO. Will you? I was searching for this video for a long time ... Thank you.
