Looked a great day and some turn out. Mighty to see the older stuff in action
Thank you for the shout out Gerry! Great to meet you in person and see the JDs working. While I'm a Massey man I have a soft spot for those Deere's
That looked like a fantastic day out for all involved and the spectators.
John Dan's new harvested looked impressive alright. I remember well drawing along side a double chop and dropping an swapping trailers, you were kept busy!!
lOVE THE 3130 WITH dOUBLE cHOP AND SINGLE AXIL TRAILER, I worked for an outfit which had 3030, later 3014, New Holland 339 DC and Trailers with Coragated iron tails, Later went to trailed precission New Holland, pulled by 3140 and later MF699, 590, 188 and DV 1210 and DB 1412 drawing and side filling with a Volvo 4200 BM Loader
Top marks, Gerry for bring us a another great vid. The smile on your face say's it all, if your smiling, we are to.
Great video, it's great to get a look back on old machines, brings back memories to all that was there
Lovely footage of the older gear. The 3650 really stole the show for me. It looks and goes very well. This from New Holland /Ford fan
Great video gerry, thats us lifting with the 2 5000s and green tarrup harvester.. oldest working harvester in the field
Brilliant video Gerry, really enjoyable. Fantastic to see all the cool machinery and how it has progressed down the years.
I noticed a Muir Hill parked up, did she not get to chop grass.
I drove one of those when I about 12 drawing 130 square bales on a flat bed trailer.
Great memories. 👍
Alreet Marra,
At 2:55 you can see the Muir Hill 141 approaching.

Absolutely fantastic video, by God you just brought back some memories and I worked on single , double and precision chop. How things have changed
Your tractors were fantastic Gerry a credit to you, that 3130 was a real eye catcher
The JF was sounding sweet, Gerry! 👍🎶
Fantastic 👍 I love to see these machines working thanks for taking the time to film for us 👍👍
Cheers 👍
Great video Gerry 👍 lots of familiar to old kit workin well. Great drone shots 💪👌👍
Great to see the history of silage making all in one field. If it’s on next year it’s one for the diary to go to. Your outfit is a joy to watch. Kudos to you and your dad for the work gone into the restoration of the tractors
Didn't see a fingerbar mower and a buckrake gathering silage!!! (childhood memories)
Excellent video Gerry. Many thanks for showing the various types of harvesters.
great video wanted to be there thanks for sharing. these were great times !
Great showGerry.Your outfit looked and sounded perfect. As some around here would say, she,s like a wee mouse chewing paper.
Some lovely machines. No school like old school.
Absolutely brilliant video Gerry. Brought back some great memories of my holidays in Kerry on my uncle’s farm when they were at silage.
Brilliant to see Gerry, always nice to see classic and vintage gear still working and great to see so many people still interested in it. As always your gear was looking amazing, you should be very proud of it.
Awesome video Gerry nice 👌 to see the vintage machines great drone footage 👍👍🦌
A really enjoyable video great job done now the drone shots came out well 👍👍
Great to see the old machines out in the field
best channel for far!
It's a great day out. I wasat one 2015 in South tipperary. You want a hole day of. I got to it at 12 and went at 5 pm to go home to milk. Saw single and dubel chop working. Miss the other machinery working. Brother was gone away for weekend. It was a good day out with a friend
Fantastic video Gerry. How times have changed in the history of agricultural machinery & silage making. My favourite tractor has to be the ford
Brilliant video gerry , good to see the old equipment working, great to see you took part.
What a fantastic video, definitely have to go next year, really enjoyed that video, more of them please.
Great to see you getting the recognition and it shows how well got you are Gerry. Your a genuine fella and I look forward to meeting ya sometime. I've met Farmer Phil twice now so yourself and Adrian next
Nice to see all these old tractors still working also great drone footage
Brought many memories Gerry. Now mostly contractors with massive self propeled choppers.
Gr8 stuff Gerry. I'd love to see the 1212 doing something at it next year. Maybe get her rigged out on a single chop and trailer?
Their was a good blow on the single and double chops compared to what I remember. My boss bought a new single chop about 7 years ago imported from Turkey to use for zero grazing made by a company called Agrimir delivered for €4500 it might have worked ok in a dry climate as it wouldn’t blow wet grass
Gud job gerry wel dun tanks for takn ur time out 2 b ther aun the day
Fabulous video Gerry, a beautiful spectacul, brings back memories.

Great video Gerry
Great video Gerry, some beautiful gear there, pitty it is so far away from me here as Id love to have gone up to it
🚜🚜🚜🚜😎😎👍
Could a double chop lift a row of grass knocked with a mower always wondered that.
A Taarup couple chop could lift 5ft.6 cut mowed row no issue. A single chop could lift a 7/8ft row easily enough. Seen it done
@@gerry6420 ahh never knew that.
What size trailer is that at the end on your Deere?
10.5 ton. Holds great load of grass. 2850 can pull it no problem 👌
Looked like a great day out! One question though, how the heck did you get one of the single chop choppers down the road?!? Do they swing behind??
Looked like a great day. Did you get to keep the load you filled.
whats the difference between double chop and precision cut
Much more knives and a finer cut grass with precision chop. Bigger out put on the harvesters too then double chop
@@gerry6420 Thanks Gerry always wondered the difference between single, double and precision chop. Must be a massive difference in length of chopped grass between single and precision would different lengths suit different types of livestock ie.. sheep beef or dairy, although im guessing single chop silage is never made anymore other than vintage days like you were at.
Хотя и полигон и техника устарелая я имею в виду не трактора а сельхоз машины но приятно смотреть их работу особенно понравилась работа прессов классно работают хотел бы иметь такой но увы и ах не имею такой возможности
