Your flipping it side to side. That’s why it’s up side down. If you flip it from top to bottom, then it’s the way all the dollar coins are. Put your fingers at the 3 and 9 o’clock on. The obverse, then flip it over. Then it will be normal. Your flipping it from the side position😊

It is special. You should keep it. But try flipping it the other way and see what happens. Instead of left to right, flip it from the bottom. That’s “e pluribus unum” on the side. It’s on a lot of United States currency. It means “Out of Many, One” in Latin. These coins are from a series that are now discontinued and many of them have errors. The words “In God We Trust” was accidentally left off of many of them so they are also known as Godless dollars or coins and many have double letters.
I have the Presidential gold coins of the 1st to 20 president of the state and all of them if you flip it the way you do is the same upside-down your coin is not an error
Flip it from top to bottom, not side to side. Look try it with a quarter. Also, on the edge it says E PLURIBUS UNUM. The Presidential coins are the only ones that have E PLURIBUS UNUM on the edge, but EVERY U.S. COIN has that on it.
All the scores were made the saying they're only about 35 coins like this one that is rare and they have an Archie on the back of the the Statue of Liberty so you have one of the coins is pretty normal
I have five different ones and I turn all of them over left to right it's upside down, is that rare! But if I flip over from top over it matches, weird.
TheBeautifulGoldenhour All the coins do the same thing from 1996. Try any newer coins and it will flip the same way. Worthless play money. Most of it is Copper and it's light. Gold is heavy plus it's the size of a quarter. Worth 10.00 at the most and no it will never be worth a lot!

I pulled them out and looked at them again. One is Rutherford B Hayes, 2 are John Quincy Adams and one is James Madison. They are quite common actually. There was a whole presidential series. I'm not sure where I got these. I pull my collection out every year around the first and go through them. I've had these for several years.

You are right Sarah Casey.
I have one coins
The coin is right. If you flip from the bottom up it will put the statue of liberty right side up. It's that way on all coins minted.
thanks
i own 3 of these coins and they both have the liberty same John Adame 1797-1801
All coins are struck like this. if you flip top and bottom, it will show right-side-up on each side.
All coins are the same, when the head is right up, the tail is upside down.
I have one piece with me how can i exchange it
How much is the value
I have one with a D instead of a P..what are the differences?

I have one just like it. Have you found out more info?

For your wondering, No its not a rare coin. Keep hunting though and theres plenty of k owledge to be had online. Good luck and happy hunting!
How much it would cost I have like that coin
I have the same exact coin
Nice hang on to it . I never seen one again only that one time and still saved mine.
how much is this? i have one
Yes it is
Is it worth anything
Nope. Not rare at all. Every single US coin has this configuration. It's called "coin turn" die arrangement.
yes but it was rare to find the coin what im saying in circulation and out of a venting machine no less.
I have one of this
All the scores were made the saying they're only about 35 coins like this one that is rare and they have an Archie on the back of the the Statue of Liberty so you have one of the coins is pretty normal
ok thanks for the info i saved it all these years never saw another one in circulation :).
@@TheBeautifulGoldenHour i got the same coin like that

Linda moeda parabéns...Eu tenho algumas moedas americana comemorativa.
Have you ever looked at any of the other coins? Our coins do go head over. Canadian coins turn from side to side.
My JA dont do this
I also got 3 out of a vending machine used them to buy a coke and snack. So sad.
yeah that is sad and i never saw one like this ever again.i saved mine they are rare i think as far as not being in circulation.

thumbs up (+1)
Cool coin. I would take it to a coin collector to give you a value on it. thanks for sharing.
Ihave one but not gold
Worth a dollar
I luv this coin and the error
You have to flip the coin upwards or downwards and both sides will face up..
No that's just how they are made. I have a lot of coins that are printed that way.
Look that is rare coin but every single coin is like that the back is upside down
Actually it would be considered rare to be the same in both
I have one exactly like yours, it's worth anything?
Maybe just face value? im not sure but i keep it for souvenir cuz they are rare to find. you don't see them in change.
There's nothing wrong with this coin. Where you're heads on on the obverse side you flip it straight up and the statue 🗽 will be right side up.
Mines got a D not a P and I think they’re normal flipped images
