    I love how you've included the programming at the beginning of the video. It helps build the tension. If someone asked me to explain was "dawless" production/performance is, I would use this video as an introduction.

    Well this, like all your jams, is absolutely phenomenal. May I ask you how this was recorded and what sort of units has the sound gone through for post production? What console/interface have you used? What compressors/limiters etc? Thanks a lot and keep up the outstanding work.

      @fiddlestickzmuzik 9 лет назад

      +ludoWic music ..yes I did regrettably, to help fund a larger purchase, perhaps if I see another one for the right price down the track I'll grab it again...really digging the 202 here as well, another machine I've wanted for ever, had a 101 years and years ago and loved it..

    • @spin.the.4545
      @spin.the.4545 9 лет назад

      +ludoWic music Hi bro, really cool sounding track, did you process the Jomox in any way or it just raw output ? Just curious if that compression and subtle overdrive comes from the machine itself or some post processing

    • @ludoWicmusic
      @ludoWicmusic  9 лет назад +1

      +spin.the.֍ hey thanx man!! The jomox is going into a sovtek mig muff. That gives the distortion. The kick is too much for that pedal :-) so that gives the natural compression

    Great, great sound! Does the Jomox produce those distorted drums or is it going through a pedal?

    • @ludoWicmusic
      @ludoWicmusic  9 лет назад +5

      +stef25ify Thanks! The jomox is going through a sovtek big muff pedal. That's creating the distortion.

      @@ludoWicmusic Hey that bit of info is just amazing. Thanks for sharing. I remember seeing a Casio SK1 in a shop window I used to walk by as a kid and being endlessly fascinated by it. I had a VL-1 at the time but this one was a SAMPLER! I really wanted it. Sadly, I couldn't afford it. Now I realise it would have been a waste. I only started making actual music with my VL-1 in the last year or two. The fact is, a toy is a toy because of you use it as one. Once you have the chops, anything can be an instrument of music. Of course we are not all equal. I don't think I'll ever extract as much juice from anything as you do. In my boom, yoy are a geniua. But generally we are not aware of the endless sonic possibilites of wonderful mass market produced machines that the world is literally littered with. We are blessed in our age in that way - though in other ways we are cursed, of course.

    • @ludoWicmusic
      @ludoWicmusic  9 лет назад +3

      +iamKiluka I recorded some endless single note drones on that tape. I play this with the Uher. During playback I use my hands to create that nice bending (dragging) notes. The Uher is going into the Strymon Bluesky
