I think the fundamental problem is hip hop AS A CULTURE abandoned it's core principles therefore lost it's integrity, and when that's the case it then becomes a battle royal for king/queen of a trash heap. Case end point, where does being a rapper end and being an MC begin? What is the STANDARD? Where does marketing end and exploitation begin? Etc. How do you DEFINE things and so on... But I digress.
Hip Hop culture has devolved into trash culture: promoting drug culture, stripper culture, empowered thots, dudes tricking for clout. Hip hop has come to aggrandize the worst of blaque life. Then the kulcha turns around and demonizes Hollywood and the press for pushing negative stereotypes when those things are exactly what hip hop has come to produce. It's a vicious cycle; the tail chasing the head. It's a fucquing mess.
The industry is gonna continue to do what makes it money, what we acknowledge is what Hip Hop is. Facts are majority/mainstream don’t care about ghostwriting. Pay attention (and pay money if your can) to the music you like & leave it at that.

Snoop had Jay write for him Dre had Jay write for him Kanye got writers Lil Wayne had Drake write him Drake had people write for him The battle rappers have writers too.
