WONTON SOUP | House of X Tia

  • I always keep a pack of wonton skins in my freezer for soup days. The broth is made with my favorite chicken bouillon but any chicken stock will do. By the time you fold your wontons, you’re ready to eat! A complete meal in 30 minutes!! Let me know what you like to add to your filling/soup! XO.
    B R O T H
    10 cups water
    6 tablespoons bouillon
    6 spring onions (white parts only)
    3-4 cloves garlic, smashed
    4 1" pieces ginger
    pinch of salt
    2 pinches white pepper
    1-2 drops sesame oil
    F I L L I N G
    1 pound ground pork
    1/4 cup shrimp, cut into small pieces
    1 teaspoon soy sauce
    2 teaspoon oyster sauce
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon white pepper
    1/4 teaspoon sugar
    1 teaspoon corn starch
    Wonton soup can be served with your choice of bok choy, cilantro, green onion, chili oil, sriracha, hoisin, lime & fish sauce to taste!

    Hi! Thank you for the simple recipe! Since you added salt to the filling in your video, I suggest also adding salt to the list of ingredients under the description. While delicious, the filling was a little bland. I was following the list and forgot you had added it in the video.

    Haven’t made this yet, but thanks for sharing such a simple broth! Can you tell us what brand/type of “soy sauce” you used for the filling? There are so many soy sauces out there.
