Bushing, axle, chain and sprockets all came from a store we have in Colorado called Tractor Supply Co. The motor is a modified harbor freight wench. There’s other vids out there on how to do the mods.

Well done! How much weight with the trailer and whatever is in it? I have a 24’ with atv’s. Loaded it weighs about 8000 pounds.

I mainly use it to store my trailer. It’s unloaded, maybe 400lbs of stuff in it. The trailer is 2200 lbs

Do you know how much current the winch motor draws? I want to build one but use a DC power supply and a long drop cord.

I don’t know the amp draw. It’s a harbor freight winch. I would think the website would tell. I had one with an extension cord. Kind of a pain…that’s why I did the battery.

      Sry I wasn’t notified of this comment….
I got all the parts at a local hardware store. “Tractor supply company “. Ace hardware carries a lot of the same type stuff.

I used the smallest wench the local hardware store sells. It says 1500 lbs. I used the smallest gear on the wench side and the largest size I could on the wheel side. It’s so powerful. I don’t know the max. But it will turn a 2000 lb tandem axle trailer in place. I haven’t tried yet. But I think it would turn it with my car in the trailer. Hope that helps.

It looked like you had a set screw to attach the wheel to the axle. was that a modification of and existing wheel or did you purchase them like that?

sry, didn't even show that...i welded in a bung, just like i had to weld in the bung on the sprocket that fits the axle

Thanks thats what I thought, but I wasn't sure if you found a wheel that already had a set screw. :) thanks again, BTW great job.

Ya don't have a backup camera connected to a small flat screen at the front...??...😳😂😎

On your next video, it maybe better to put a screen in front of the camera while welding as people will intend to forward the due eyes hurt while watching video. I am sure you would like people to watch whole video without skipping the video 😊😊
