Did I hear correctly at 13:25? That the growth of a Roth401k can not be rolled over into a Roth IRA and must go into a traditional IRA unlike the funds to contributed? That makes zero sense unless you, or me, are missing something. Why can't it all go into a ROTH.

I think he was talking about after tax money going into a Traditional 401k (rather than than a Roth 401k). the original money put in after tax can be rolled over into a Roth IRA but not the grown on the aftertax contributions perhaps because it is too hard to separate it out from the growth on the Traditional 401k pre-tax contributions. If you have money in a Roth 401k you should be able to roll that all over to a Roth IRA. But I am not sure

Hey @douglastarvestad186 - @MsTubbytube is on the right track. Casey was referring to after tax dollars going into a traditional 401(k). It sounds like you have some market concerns, which should be addressed with proper financial planning rather than just an investment strategy. In regard to the market pull back, we have not seen a "crash" as this would be defined as a drop of 20% or more from previous highs. We are far from this, but it is always a possibility. What makes this such a big concern for you right now?
