They had no more copies of their golden lord), and still lost because skill drain. They did not deserve that win. In that context, solitaire decks are okay if your opponent gets to play, and them not having enough disruption to stop a super long combo that ignores a negate or two, and basically guarantees a win once it’s done does not deserve to win. Outside of that context (here’s the long story), here’s a scenario. Evenly matched: “At the end of the Battle Phase, if your opponent controls more cards than you do: You can make your opponent banish cards from their field face-down so they control the same number of cards as you do. If you control no cards, you can activate this card from your hand.” Why am I deciding this to you? Well allow me to give you some backstory. I built a new deck with the event gems. Psy-frames. I went up against an eldlich player. No biggie. They pop skill drain. Yes biggie. I’m getting my lifepoints slowly eaten away, and I draw evenly matched. I set a monster, knowing I’d survive next turn. Come the end of the battle phase, my field was empty. I throw down the trap, and they have to banish around 7 cards including at the very least one of their remaining golden lords (I banished one of them prior to this situation). They banish everything but the skill drain. I’m running an archetype where my monsters need to be summoned by reacting to my opponent’s moves, or being brought back from the graveyard. I basically didn’t have anything to normal summon. Only thing I had was a junk synchron for synergy with the link monster (needs any 2 monsters to summon, and all psy frames are lvl 1 & 2). The eldlich archetype has traps that are treated as monsters, each with over 1300 atk. I had nothing to do, because I’d used almost all of my monsters (they’re all hand traps), and the ones that I didn’t use couldn’t be effectively used to stop them. I nuked their board, leaving them with a single card, and still lost because of skill drain. It worked, sure, but they did not deserve that win.

I have this card (continuous trap) that banishes my opponent’s cards face down at the cost of one of my monsters, but you know why I couldn’t use that card? Because I activated a desired banishing one of them, and the other one I set a long long long while before that moment. I would’ve used it many turns ago, but I couldn’t. Why? Xing Zhen Hu. “Activate this by setting 2 Set Spell or Trap Cards on the field. The selected Spell or Trap Cards cannot be activated.” I did not know that this card existed until today. I would’ve won by slowly burning essential cards of theirs, but they had that one card. Nobody uses it, and the one time I face it, it prevents me from winning against an eldlich user. I don’t even thing anyone here knew that the card existed up until this point assuming they’ll eventually read my comment. I could’ve won, but skill drain. If you’re wondering how them activating that card prevented my from activating mine in response, they set it beforehand. I was ending my turn (the same turn I set the trap), and they negated the card. It also doesn’t say “while this card is face up on the field”, so even *after* their trap left, I *still* couldn’t activate the card. Sorry for forgetting this immensely crucial detail.
A deck I really think you should consider running is Unchained Twins. That deck is crazy fun and you can run the 2 Neceofears which makes it competitive and meme-able. It’s also very F2P friendly

I'm curious to what Konami judges would think if this was pulled off at a official event (the first duel, (if all of the cards in the deck are legal (not on the banned list))) because I'd honestly uninstall the game at that point
Card Destruction is an impressive counter for Maxx "C" users, just spam out as many summons as you can then just WASTE their deck by popping Card Destruction

This is why I stopped playing Yuigoh after XYZ came out. The fact you can special summon a million times and deck someone out because they used Maxx C is absurd. I'd like to take my turn in a card game. Synchro was peak yugioh.
There is a decklist i used to get to plat 1, it's incredibly consistent and lets you combo off for your ENTIRE deck. The Danger Darkworld deck can be very much rogue tier at the least.
A couple months ago i had someone completely top deck me turn 1 and i was laughing my ass off the entire time. It wasnt a surprise like this was. I just watched as my deck numbers slowly went down and as soon as he ended his turn i had nothing left to draw. Way more entertaining than an obvious OTK exodia. 😂😂

I've been trying to get this to happen for months since I added Card Destruction into my Adamancipators deck. Haven't yet, but it'll happen eventually. And seeing it is just as hilarious as I imagined, I HAVE to get this to work now. It's a bit harder when you don't have the draw of Danger Dark World, I guess
When I watched Duel Live some time ago, I think the person I was watching was running this deck! Maybe it was you, even, I don't actually remember. I normally hate Solitaire in this game but it was done specifically to counteract and punish a meta card so I ADORED it and I saved the replay to my PS4, hahaha.

Two cards that go great in a danger dark world deck are dark core for the discard and banish super useful, and the two archnemesus cards super good effect high dmg and special summon is easy just need to banish 3 different types from grave or field
Imagine you do this in irl. But before you reveal the card destruction you laugh like a maniac until they ask you what so funny? Then you show them the card and then laugh even harder. The thing here is you laugh like Joker which make the situation make you like a movie villain
I actually also played against this with Dinos, but he scooped when all he could make was Skull Dread + Number 60 + Zephyros. His Card Destruction only hit 9 from me and I had opened Babyx2, Maxx C, Ash, Pankratops going first. His first move was to Raigeki the set Baby which did give me a nice Oviraptor search for Misc. Honestly he should have just played the UTC and forced the Accesscode THEN tried to do shit. People really need to read cards.

And then swinging for game 1st turn and I have a crappy kuribo in my hand or something. Only just understood how to use synchro and xyz (and still prefer not to use them). It's even worse if you chain Spell Reclamation to Card Destruction. After the 1st use, it automatically returns to your hand and... ¡BOOM! Bye to your opponent's hand again 🤯🤯
i really find this funny because i dont think card destruction has ever been used like this since like super early yugioh days. not counting speed duels if it ever saw play there cause its too different a format.
I'm confused that Card Destruction could be activated the same turn it was set. There must be an effect that lets you activate spells the same turn you set them or the rules have changed since I last played the game
You mean decking out in the resolution of the Card destruction? If the opponent has 18 cards in Hand, 18 cards in deck, you use card destruction, and they draw these 18, including All 5 pieces of Exodia, they win. If they have less cards in deck than they are supposed to draw, they lose because they can’t draw the exact number of cards.
Once you stop adding cards to a chain and the chain starts resolving, you have to finish resolving that chain before other cards/effects can be checked/activated. This includes "chains" of 1, so you have to finish resolving Card Destruction before you can check for Exodia's win condition.
@@powerhousejp Interestingly, this is not how Exodia worked in Legacy of the Duelist, where you could win with Exodia between 2 chain links. You could activate 3 Jar of Greed, pull the 5th piece at CL2, and win with the effect before CL1 resolved (which could just as well be Card that draws you 2 while you only have 1 Card, effectively losing you the duel). Now you got me interested what the official ruling would be, and if it's coded correctly in Master Duel.

I'm kinda new to current yugioh I've played around dragon rulers/ preform pals era and ash blossom kinda gets me confused. Why can it negate maxx c or card destruction? Is there a rule change that makes drawing count as adding from the deck now?
When a card or effect is activated that includes any of these effects (Quick Effect): You can discard this card; negate that effect. ●Add a card from the Deck to the hand. ●Special Summon from the Deck. ●Send a card from the Deck to the GY. ash blossom can stop many effects because of the text "When a card or effect is activated that INCLUDES any of these effects" basically it means that if a card has any effect that CAN ●Add a card from the Deck to the hand. ●Special Summon from the Deck. ●Send a card from the Deck to the GY as the effect it can be stopped by ash blossom. so for max c and card distruction, they can be stopped because you can add a card from the Deck to the hand by drawing with these effect.
I have an mayakashi/soul absorbing bone tower mill deck which if managed to have the right hand and opponent doesn’t have nibiru then you just win by just playing the game while having bone tower on field
I think my favorite card besides card destruction is probably heavy slump. A niche trap card but its hilarious when u make ur oppanant reshuffle his hand i to his deck to only draw 2 cards.
I would replace the 3 brows for 2 graphas and 1 beige, get rid of 1 tsuchinoko, 1 chupacabra and 1 mothman for 3 trade-in get rid of the 3 alure of darkness for 1 big foot and 2 thunder bird get rid of 2 pot of avarice for 2 triple tactic talents get rid of the last pot of grid for danger response team The lack of consistency is because you have poor graveyard control and too many of the same danger monsters 3 pot of avarice + 2 beggining of the end + 3 allure of darkness leaves you without room for graveyard removals 3 of each danger is too much, you need different dangers to avoid their effect getting locked, the only one that is worth it is nessie and maybe mothman. but i don't see you playing anything of rank 7 or syncros, so you are losing 50% on nessies potential right there. Also you have 2 normal summon targets : cyber-stein and armageddon knight. if you don't get saryuja before discarding one of them then you pretty much lose one card to dangers discards so you either use one or the other. a way to overcome this is by including 1 monster reborn. Including more level 8 monsters gives your space for rank 8 xyz, you have a los of level 3, so cherubini might be a better option than leviair
I’m going to be real, I despise anyone running these solitaire style decks. But decking someone out with card destruction is absolutely hysterical.
If it works they deserve the win tbh. Decks like these are hard to build.

This deck only works on unsuspecting players who don't realize it's a bait deckout strategy, and save their Ash Blossom for the Card D.

I'm kinda new to current yugioh I've played around dragon rulers/ preform pals era and ash blossom kinda gets me confused. Why can it negate maxx c or card destruction? Is there a rule change that makes drawing count as adding from the deck now?
When a card or effect is activated that includes any of these effects (Quick Effect): You can discard this card; negate that effect.

●Special Summon from the Deck.
●Send a card from the Deck to the GY.
ash blossom can stop many effects because of the text "When a card or effect is activated that INCLUDES any of these effects"
basically it means that if a card has any effect that CAN

as the effect
it can be stopped by ash blossom.
so for max c and card distruction, they can be stopped because you can add a card from the Deck to the hand by drawing with these effect.

I have an mayakashi/soul absorbing bone tower mill deck which if managed to have the right hand and opponent doesn’t have nibiru then you just win by just playing the game while having bone tower on field
I think my favorite card besides card destruction is probably heavy slump. A niche trap card but its hilarious when u make ur oppanant reshuffle his hand i to his deck to only draw 2 cards.

My RNG on Danger card is BS always hit them self on 6 card in hand and it happened 3 time like how... HOW!!!
The best way to counter card destruction is have rescue cat, obviously.
I would replace the 3 brows for 2 graphas and 1 beige,
get rid of 1 tsuchinoko, 1 chupacabra and 1 mothman for 3 trade-in
get rid of the 3 alure of darkness for 1 big foot and 2 thunder bird
get rid of 2 pot of avarice for 2 triple tactic talents
get rid of the last pot of grid for danger response team
The lack of consistency is because you have poor graveyard control and too many of the same danger monsters
3 pot of avarice + 2 beggining of the end + 3 allure of darkness leaves you without room for graveyard removals
3 of each danger is too much, you need different dangers to avoid their effect getting locked, the only one that is worth it is nessie and maybe mothman. but i don't see you playing anything of rank 7 or syncros, so you are losing 50% on nessies potential right there.
Also you have 2 normal summon targets : cyber-stein and armageddon knight. if you don't get saryuja before discarding one of them then you pretty much lose one card to dangers discards so you either use one or the other. a way to overcome this is by including 1 monster reborn.
Including more level 8 monsters gives your space for rank 8 xyz, you have a los of level 3, so cherubini might be a better option than leviair
