Just a small detail that you might want to know: In the manga when Kakashi was running out of the collapsing cave and was hit by a rock, he said “my new blind spot” - a dialogue that was excluded from the anime. His left eye that was destroyed by the camouflaged guy created a blind spot on his left side, where the rock had landed. That’s why he couldn’t see and dodge it.

The key is the characters ( in this instance kakashi) even though naruto as a series doesn't do great at flushing out it's entire cast... It does a great job of the characters it does focus on! So even with this being 2 Episodes getting to understand a well liked character like kakashi even more and his trials really hits home.

Such a good backstory. Explains everything about Kakashi. How he got the eye, he learned the "those who break the rules are considered scum, but those who abandon their friends are worse than scum." Why he's always late, because that's how Obito was. Really looking forward to your guy's Shippuden reactions, I think you'll love it. The dub is fine, the problem is how Studio Pierrot handled the ending of the series. They just straight up refused to finish it, for like 3 years. Filler after filler. And Major Spoilers. I'm currently watching Naruto Shippuden for the 1st time and MAN, as good as Naruto is it's nothing compared to Shippuden! I'm on episode 451 and what I ride it's been. I honestly have no idea how anyone can watch week to week. Props for the patience! There's no way I could NOT binge this show. Can't wait to see all the great reactions to come!
Rin's face just before grabbing Kakashi's hand was filled with such pain and loss knowing that she must leave Obito in the rubble so that she can stay alive. The agony and hurt seen in Rin's expression made Rana cry at 12:18-12:28. Sad to see that the footage of Rin's expression was removed due to fair usage. Naruto, the manga, is the Masterpiece of the genius named Masashi Kishimoto. The mangaka dedicates entire panels just to show the characters' facial expressions. He is a master storyteller in my opinion.
I still say it, the fights in Naruto and especially in Shippuden are some of the best fights in anime. Creative and fun to watch, but also have important emotional weight and a lot of them are important to the plot.
That little sound Rana makes at 11:08 right after kakashis blade breaks just proves how genuine her reaction is...great stuff guys...and for real you need to do 3 episodes a week.
Lord Fourth is the best. And we've only scratched the surface on him. Which considering this involves him dispatching entire enemy battalions alone and having a "flee on sight" warning on the enemy side...yeah... Also poor Rana...don't forget this sadness.

Studio Pierrot deserves praise for animating the manga with haunting soundtrack and proper pacing. There is this melody that plays from 12:16-12:48, when Kakashi reaches out to Rin to save her from the rubble, which creates an eerie yet sombre atmosphere. That moment is what you call anime storytelling at its best. Hats off to Pierrot.
Obito was a beautifully written character. No other words for it. I pretty much cried through the entire episode when I watched it for the first time. 17:53 - Sand's infiltration of Leaf is technically not considered a Great ninja war in the show. Maybe because the other villages aren't involved in it. Great ninja wars tend to involve all the villages.
If you guys go back and watch the bell test with Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura back in part 1, After Sasuke charges at Kakashi while Naruto is tied to the stump, Kakashi takes sasuke down and puts a knife to his neck and tells Sakura to kill Naruto now or Sasuke dies. The following "hypothetical" prompt he gives after is exactly what happens on this mission... "The enemy takes a hostage and you've got an impossible choice to make. And someone ends up dead."

I honestly have no idea how anyone can watch week to week. Props for the patience! There's no way I could NOT binge this show. Can't wait to see all the great reactions to come!
Rin's face just before grabbing Kakashi's hand was filled with such pain and loss knowing that she must leave Obito in the rubble so that she can stay alive. The agony and hurt seen in Rin's expression made Rana cry at 12:18-12:28. Sad to see that the footage of Rin's expression was removed due to fair usage. Naruto, the manga, is the Masterpiece of the genius named Masashi Kishimoto. The mangaka dedicates entire panels just to show the characters' facial expressions. He is a master storyteller in my opinion.
I still say it, the fights in Naruto and especially in Shippuden are some of the best fights in anime. Creative and fun to watch, but also have important emotional weight and a lot of them are important to the plot.

I thought it was an April Fools joke at first, when I saw that you guys put up part 1 of this story arc. I'm glad that you all explained why at the very beginning. I'm also glad that you guys have started Naruto Shippuden in dub which is much easier to keep up with your reactions. Too many youtubers fall to the pressure of the sub fanboys to watch the series in sub, which makes no sense whatsoever when doing reaction videos with the forced youtube fair use in play. Most of your audience is English speaking people. Looking forward to watching your journey through Naruto Shippuden. Rana's crying already and there are so many twists and turns to look forward to. Studio Pierrot deserves praise for animating the manga with haunting soundtrack and proper pacing. There is this melody that plays from 12:16-12:48, when Kakashi reaches out to Rin to save her from the rubble, which creates an eerie yet sombre atmosphere. That moment is what you call anime storytelling at its best. Hats off to Pierrot.

Obito was a beautifully written character. No other words for it. I pretty much cried through the entire episode when I watched it for the first time.
17:53 - Sand's infiltration of Leaf is technically not considered a Great ninja war in the show. Maybe because the other villages aren't involved in it. Great ninja wars tend to involve all the villages.

If you guys go back and watch the bell test with Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura back in part 1, After Sasuke charges at Kakashi while Naruto is tied to the stump, Kakashi takes sasuke down and puts a knife to his neck and tells Sakura to kill Naruto now or Sasuke dies. The following "hypothetical" prompt he gives after is exactly what happens on this mission...
"The enemy takes a hostage and you've got an impossible choice to make. And someone ends up dead."
