  • I’ve been waiting for the opportunity to fish some new ground offshore and a spell of decent weather meant I had to get out and see what could be found on lures.
After a 10 mile cruise @ 12 knots I was surprised to find better conditions than forecast, a real rarity for me. The usual suspects were quick to the Crazy Paddle tails and Black minnows and once the tide slackened I had the chance to experiment with a new style of lure, the Kabura jig.
On the return journey I spent some time targeting the squid which are here in great numbers at present. My efforts were rewarded with one PB after another, that’s not something that happens very often!

Many thanks for the video. I do like to watch your videos but I do not know how you find the fish as I have been out a couple of times recently from Plymouth and could not find a Pollock and was told it's not really the season for them there. Also those cracking squid. Shame you don't do some guided sessions. Tight lines

The deck is far more robust and reliable, tubes are bigger and therefore more stable. The overall build is of a higher spec

Sib set up would be really good. I have just bought a sib and still taking way too much weight out with me so any tips would be helpful on what to take and what to leave behind. Great video as always.
