    *FAQs & INFO - PLEASE READ!!!!*
    ✅ BEFORE cutting your cord, verify that your Air Fryer model number is on the list!
    ✅ AFTER cutting the cord, MAKE SURE YOU DISCARD the cord you cut off! VERY DANGEROUS to use!
    ✅ Some viewers are buying a new air fryer now and just selecting a different replacement product (so they don't have to wait for a new air fryer). Here are the air fryers I personally own and love : amzn.to/3lZDB9H
    ✅ Live outside of US/Canada/Mexico? → They say it's just North America... another viewer thought it could be the different voltage? Another viewer just went thru Amazon UK to get a refund.
    ✅ Some viewers are saying that their Amazon order history shows a different model # than what they actually own. BE SURE TO LOOK underneath your air fryer to confirm the model number!

      I believe the Caribbean is also considered North America, as well as Central America (I know that sounds confusing) is also considered North America, but you are correct that the voltage can be different, so I am not sure those areas are included. Residents should check with Cosori.

      My Cosori CP158-AF is one of the recalled ones, I did everything they ask, cut the cable and took the photos and I started filling out the form, when I tried to send it I could not because Puerto Rico is not included, my air fryer worked fine, I'm going to fix the cable and continue using it

    Finished my recall registration. I opted for a replacement air fryer. It's a good air fryer. Things happen. I applaud their efforts in taking care of their customers.

      Totally agree. I only started air frying in 2021 after watching Kathy's videos. I bought the Cosori per her recommendation. I love it and am not concerned at all about the replacement Cosori. I pulled out some sweet potato fries tonight to add to my dinner. Ooops! I don't have an air fryer now! Noooo! Hope the replacement gets here quickly.

      I followed all of the recall steps and got an acceptance from Cosori on March 4th and I still don't have a replacement. I wonder how long it takes?

    My husband greeted me on the 23rd, when I crawled out of bed, with the recall notification that he had heard on the news. I checked online for the affected model numbers and was very relieved to see that my dual blaze was not on the list! Phew! I love that machine so much and bought it on your recommendation. Thanks for providing this timely and very important message on your channel for your many followers.

      Same here! My old Cosori broke ( handle broke off the basket) and I ordered the 6.8 quart Dual Blaze , mainly because of the larger size. I absolutely love it! Was so glad mine was not part of the recall.

      Cosori uses Teflon (PTFE). Hope you never get a pet bird, or have kids....

    Your videos got me to choose Cosori, which I appreciate.
    I got the email from Cosori on the 23rd, immediately registered it, and today I received an email telling me to check my address and dispose of my old one…
    I’m ok with this process and look forward to my new Cosori. I give them a heck of a lot of credit and appreciate them voluntarily recalling these. I have nothing negative to say.

    I had registered mine when I bought it. I received an email from them regarding the recall and I also received an email from Amazon where I purchased it. I registered for the replacement yesterday and received an email from them today for an additional photo. That was a fast review of my registration. I am anxiously waiting for my replacement. I love my Cosori and have no reservations on using the new one.

      Sandy Elder- Hi Sandy from our farm in New Hampshire. Yes I have the CP158-AF . I had purchased it from Amazon, used the unit twice and put it away fro the winter, as I cook a lot on our kitchen wood stove. On the 23rd, Amazon emailed me with instructions on how to contact Cosori, which I did. Cosori did mention that I may not receive another CP158-AF, should they run out. An alternate unit will be shipped. That is ok with me. Good customer service and nice to see this video to help Cosori owners navigate the recall process. ~ Diane

      James Cagney- After 30 years in electronics, I set my Cosori on our cold kitchen wood stove cast cook top. or outside on the picnic table. If it catches on fire in the house, we have a cathedral ceiling, so not going anywhere. But folks should use commonsense.

      I'm finding the photo issue really confusing. It would be nice if they specified the format and filetype they want of it. I'm not great at picture taking and it wouldn't take snapshots from my smartphone as is. :-(

      Linda B- Yes, the Cosori team emailed me back three times, asking me to take a new photo. Each time, they were not satisfied with the quality of the photo. The last time they said they wanted the "back" photo, because they could not see the cut cord. I have a Kindle, not a smart phone, so I have NO idea the size or clarity of the photo. Something is not right. Anyone else I forward a Kindle photo to has no problem uploading the picture. Cosori has not contacted me again. Maybe I'll receive a replacement. Maybe I won't. At this point, I am losing interest. ~ Diane

    Hi Kathy: I called them today and finally got through. They were very kind and helpful. I don't know why but for some reason it just wasn't going through on my computer. However, while I had them on the phone, they helped me get through the steps to getting the air fryer registered. They sent me the registration number, and everything went through. I was so upset but now I am back to being a very happy camper. Thank you for all your help and the great video.

    Oh my gosh, I did not realize there was a recall until I saw the video from you! You don’t know how hard it was to cut the cord, literally, but I did. I filled out the registration form, took pictures and submitted the form. Thank you so much for informing us about the recall! I hate it that I’m not going to be able to use my fryer as I use it every single day! Love your videos, especially with the kiddos involved!

      Thank you, Cathy. It took me tons of time to do the registration online. I just wish the registration form would SHOW where mistakes are in the form. I had to go through the form several times - something I missed, or printed out incorrectly, etc. - but didn’t know until I COMBED THROUGH the WHOLE FRICKING THING! (Can you tell that I was frustrated?!!😊) There should be a message for each incorrect entry, so we know what is missing/wrong!
      I have the shaker reminder on my machine, but the model number is included in the recall. Sigh! Cutting the cord and re-taking the photos with it…! I suspect my form will be refused! BACK to the drawing board!!!

      If you don’t work with computers, I get it. I guess you would have to go through the phone registration process and mail the information to the address they would give you.
      I’m 80 and have been using computers for over 40 years. Some websites/forms are just not built well. No forethought about what could go wrong in them.

    Thank you Cathy, its because of you that I started cooking with the cosori air fryer and I love your cook book. I registered my cosori for recall on Feb.25th after I saw it on our local news, it is now April 19th and I am still patiently.... waiting for my replacement fryer.

      Sage, I received mine in 5 days. Be sure to check you spam folder for emails from Cosori. They may have need more information or better photos from you. I was so impressed with their service. 🍀

      It’s been 4 months now. I’ve send it back in Feb. At the beginning of June I received email saying “process is done, this is the tracking #, and enjoy!” Enjoy what? Tracking number doesn’t works. When I’ve reached the delivery company they told me they have not receive the air fryer replacement yet (!). It’s now middle of June. Not only Cosori recall is a joke but if they think I’ll buy whatever it’s called Cosori again, well…think again. This Air fryer was a gift to someone. It is so embarrassing.

      Hi, I did receive my air fryer the end of April. I was the same as you, did not want to cut off the cord but it is necessary so chop it off!

    YES - mine is the first model on the list. It will be very hard to live without it. The most difficult part will be to take and upload the photos. I have an older smart phone and an older laptop. We are an OLD couple who use the air fryer (since sept 2021) so much to make cooking meals easy. If I have trouble with the registration I will try calling or just go out and buy a new one- but I LOVE this model - perfect size for our meals and for the space on my counter. Not happy - but SO MUCH THANKS to Cathy for this video.

    I love my Cosori and will definitely purchase again. Got an email from Cosori and my recall replacement will be shipped in 48 hours (submitted Friday). Very impressed. Also received notification from Amazon later in the day.

    I submitted all my information last night, so sad to be without an air fryer but also thankful that nothing happened. Hopefully it will not take too long. It’s great seeing a company that is proactive in serving their customers.

    I registered for my replacement and uploaded my pictures on Thursday. Today I received my tracking number that my replacement has shipped. I think that's pretty good customer service! Good job, Cosori!

      They seem to be fast if you are in the US. Canada not so much. I registered mine first day as well and finally called them yesterday. I was told I should receive my replacement on April 29th.

    Wanted to let you know that I had two recalled Cosori air fryers. So, Cosori replaced the red small one with the updated Pro ll larger 5.8. I chose the Cosori air fryer indoor smart grill, over twice the price, for my son instead of another air fryer. Corsair did me good. Thanks for all the recommendation and the videos.

    Good morning from New Hampshire! As a retired corporate Senior Buyer, I am pleased to see the Cosori recall and the clear instructions on how to replace the affected units. Also you have done a great job of assisting your viewers with this process. I have CP158-AF, but did not use it over the winter. I bought the air fryer to use in the summer to keep the heat out of the kitchen , along with a 6 qt Instant Pot.
    Otherwise, living in the NH woods, my winter goal is to "keep" the heat in the kitchen by using our vintage kitchen wood stove and propane range oven for baking. I will say that I like the convenience and concept of an air fryer, especially for sweet potato fries and fish. When my replacement arrives, I intend to follow your channel for tips and recipes. Thanks again for posting this video. ~ Diane

    Cathy, you are just the very BEST!! 💞💯👑Thank you for going through all the trouble making this video and making it so easy to get the right information as well as a walk-through of how to register. There can be a lot of hype, panic and misinformation during recall of products and you gave us everything we need in a nut shell! I registered according to your instructions and already received an email from Cosori acknowledging my registration and providing the registration number etc. Now I'm waiting for the replacement air fryer and wonder how I'm going to prepare food for the next 6-8 weeks because my air fryer worked very hard everyday and I'm sure it would have been okay because if it didn't blow up by now, it won't!!😅 Having said that, hats off to Cosori to take this drastic measure for the sake of their customers' safety.👒🎶

      Marina Coertze- I never got to use my Cosori very much. I'm a farm wife and had put it away for summer use. Do you have an Instant Pot? I use mine, along with conventional cooking to warm up our New Hampshire home. Sheet pan recipes ( found on You Tube) are another way to make easy meals. I hope your air fryer replacement arrives soon. ~ Diane

    I’m from UK and I saw the recall on their socials on 23rd Feb. The recall doesn’t include UK but I have the model CP158-AF thats been recalled. I contacted Amazon UK and they agreed to refund. I loved my air fryer 😢, had it for a year and its been so good and easy to use.

      The Amazon agent I spoke to today said they had been in touch with Cosori and been reassured that the ones sold in UK were unaffected. I don't understand why they would agree to refund. I imagine they must have been bombarded with requests and have since sought clarification.

    Great Instructions Cathy! FYI- When I hit “submit,” a message popped up that the recall for my unit was already in process. What??? !!! Called Cosori “hot line.” Waited an hour behind 240+ other callers. Fortunately, I did not close the screen with my completed form! Nice lady finally answered and told me to add a “1” onto the batch number, then hit submit again. Did that. Registration accepted! Received email confirmation. If a similar glitch happens when trying to submit your form, do not exit the screen! You will lose everything entered before you get your phone assistance.

    I'm sure Cosori doesn't want to lose their customer base they've gotten from their super fans like our favorite Air Frying chef here and their followers! Plus, it's nice to know they are taking responsibility for their products. I thought the era of honest business was dead and gone.....it's nice to see this company taking care of its products and those that use them.
    And of course, Ms. Cathy is always keeping us all INFORMED about everything going on in the world of air fryers and cooking with them. She's just as wonderful, to pass on all this information. You know she's one of the GREAT "toobers" when she takes care of her viewers and fans!!

    Finally, they got back to me and they're shipping me a new one. I have a little tip to everyone. The basket on the old casauri that been recalled. I took the handle off the insert and saved it as an extra basket. I'm not sure which unit I'm going to get, but maybe some of you can save the entire pull out basket as a second basket, but I know that taking the handle off the insert will serve as a second basket while throw it away. Mine looks brand new. Have a good day everyone and happy air frying

    My original air fryer, the 5.8 was on the list. But last Black Friday I had bought a Dual Blaze and the 5.8 was retired to the garage, awaiting my decision on what to do with it. I don’t have tons of counter space and with just two of us, the DB is plenty. So I cut the cord of the 5.8 and chose the dehydrator as a replacement because I didn’t need anything else available. I’m happy to not be without an air fryer while waiting for the dehydrator.

    I rec'd an email from Cosori. My recall registration is completely finished. I just verified my address for them. I LOVE my Cosori. I use it 6-7 days a week. So, yes, I'm already going thru withdrawal.😔 I think Cosori's decision is commendable. Great customer service!

    Registered mine the 1st day and already half way through the review process. Having withdrawn symptoms but grateful for Cosori's customer service and allegiance to the safety of their customers~

      Allegiance? No, they waited until more than 200 customers reported fires and burning, ncluding personal injury and property damage. They had no choice but to recall or get heavily fined (and sued).

I am in the UK and we have a cosori air fryer CP158-AF (which we absolutely LOVE btw) however having checked online it doesn't look like the UK is included in any return programme at this time and I am wondering if its because we run on 220v here so the wiring (which appears to be the issue) will be different. However I will be keeping an eye on things to see if the UK gets added to the list. Thanks again for putting out great content 👍

      Yes, it's definitely been confusing for our friends in Europe who have air fryers of the same model! I know some are contacting Amazon.uk and asking for a refund. But that is a good point... different voltage could be the reason they are not recalled.

    Hi Cathy, I have been on chat with Amazon UK this morning. I thought I would share their reply:-
    Amazon takes product safety very seriously. The manufacturer has notified us that the recall only impacts models found in the US, Canada and Mexico and does not impact models found in Europe. If this changes we will inform you of any such recall for your purchases.

'The recall ONLY involves those models manufactured for and sold in the U.S., Canada and Mexico,' Cosori said in a statement. 'This does not impact the models manufactured for and sold in other regions, including UK, Europe, Asia and Australia.
      'All of COSORI products are rigorously and routinely tested for consumer safety and are in full compliance with UK & European CE standards. Please rest assured to continue to use it.'

      Hello it means they are not dangerous ? I am going to buy one of those which was recalled in USA. I’m thinking of buying them in Slovakia or in Turkey. So if I buy them in these countries it means they are not dangerous even though they are the same model with those which were recalled.

    Thanks for all your work on this. I’ve had mine for 18 months, as a lifetime WW member I use it daily. My husband wasn’t happy about the replacement wait time and ordered me another, the newer one, which I got today. I’ve already used it twice today and can’t wait to get the replacement so I can run both for bigger meals. Love your channel!

    Correction I misspoke when saying Amazon would email, there are some who didn’t get an email. My apologies. Original post - Thank you for talking about this and not ignoring it. I had purchased mine on Amazon and that is how I learned about it via an email from it. So anyone who got theirs that way if you didn’t get an email you are safe. I was bummed because I work 2 full time jobs my air fryer makes all my meals so it gave me the opportunity to purchase a newer smaller version to use while I wait. Ideal, no, i work two jobs for a reason but I can’t go without one so I’m choosing to look at it as my opportunity for a newer one with fancier features lol.

    Amazon was very quick about notifying me on my recalled Cosori, so I immediately followed all of the steps to get a new one. The one aspect of this, which I'm not happy about, is they cannot guarantee that I will get a white one instead of black. It wasn't the easiest to get white in the first place, so hopefully Cosori will follow-through with good customer service.
    I had been using my air fryer for just about everything: breakfast and dinner! So, you're right. I'm going through withdrawal.

    Update #2: I just received my replacement Cosori. It took 30 days from the day I first made my claim until I received it this morning. My original air fryer was the 3.8 qt model. They replaced it with the bigger Pro Gen2 5.8 qt air fryer. Needless to say, I am happy with the replacement. It is a better model than my original.

    Mine was on the list. I've already ordered a new one from Amazon (they notified me the other day), once it gets here I'll take the steps to get the old one replaced and then I'll have two air fryers. Not a problem since there are times I wish I had two so I could have the main dish and sides going at the same time anyway. 😅 Thanks so much for the clear steps! The original notice didn't have any of the extended information, only that you'd have to take a picture and cut the cord. I probably would have done that and then thrown away the air fryer not knowing I'd need more than the one picture.

    I can't believe that its been over three weeks and after two calls to the center, there has been NO MOVEMENT WHATSOEVER by Cosori. Needless to say, I am very dissatisfied because I had to stop using the machine in order to cut the cord and so I am without the air fryer which I use almost daily. How can I trust this company, particularly when they SAID they would move swiftly (within 5 business days)?

    I read about the recall on a local news site and started my recall registration right away. A few days after submitting all the info including pictures of my air fryer with the electrical cord cut off they sent me an email approving the registration and telling me I could dispose of the old unit because they would be shipping me a new one.
    And then there was nothing and they had no email address to reach them at and when I tried to call I was put on hold for an endless amount of time.
    Update:
    Today I received a replacement air fryer that was larger and better than the old one. The whole process only took 3 weeks and now I feel a bit foolish for whining about how long it was taking. Cosori truly stepped up and did what they promised. I am now a satisfied customer.

    It's sad to not use my favorite appliance for so long, but am happy they are being overly cautious. One bonus is if you get another one, you will probably have an extra basket now!

      Ah, I know! If they send the CP358 as the replacement, the basket for the CP158 won't work. They are slightly different sizes. 🙄

    Does anyone know why the recall only applies to Canada, USA and Mexico?
    My air-fryer has one of the recalled model numbers, but I live in France (I have the European voltage version with a French plug). So, I guess I'm OK, but I don't feel very comfortable.
    By the way, when you cut your power cord off your air-fryers be careful what you do with them - if a child plugged it in to an outlet they could shock themselves with the bare end.

      I have read a lot about this, on reddit there is a user who seems to be knowledgable, the actual problem is inside the unit where the power cord connects to the electronics of the air fryer, and it is only on the 110v units. He went on to say it is a poor connection and there is inadequate or no heat insulation on the connection on the older 110v models. The wiring is different for 220v so they do not have the same problem. And as you probably know electrical safety requirements are much more stringent in the UK/Europe lol

    From U.K. Have just contacted Amazon about return /replacement of my unit.
    My model no. is CS158-AF..so is definitely on the recall list. Initially they implied the U.K. was not affected but after telling them there have been instances where U.K. customers have received refunds or replacements, they eventually conceded to a refund.
    I also made it clear I was nervous about using said unit for fear of fault or worse.
    All said and done, I will definitely be purchasing another Cosori.

    I'm slightly concerned and confused though as I'm pretty sure I have the model without the Shake button on the left but I'm in the UK.
    I bought it from Amazon UK, does that mean it's ok , do you think? I do hope so because sorting it out through the method you demonstrate would be very difficult for me!

      They have a Facebook group and this was asked. A cosori rep said it only affected those in the USA. Can't hurt to double check.

      I too bought from Amazon UK. They have just reassured me and said, although my machine's model number is on the list, the problem does not affect those bought in UK and it is safe to use. Thanks Kathy for the heads up 👍

    I submitted my information online on February 28 and just today, April 13, I received an email stating my replacement is being processed so will take anywhere from 6-8+ weeks to be processed and shipped. What!? This means I will be without the use of my air fryer for up to 4+ months! Ugh! Well, at least I am getting a brand new one. By the way, I had a RED air fryer and was given the option to wait up to 6 months for the same color or I could take the BLACK air fryer as a replacement which are in stock now. This is taking wayyyyyy too long.

      I was so excited that it arrived earlier than they stated, and once received, my replacement arrived with the box punched in on one side and the air fryer is damaged. The plastic on one side of the air fryer is cracked with chunks of broken plastic pieces loose. Sigh.

    When I was looking to upgrade from my basic air fryer I came across some reviews of the Pro that mentioned melting and fire hazard. I got the Pro II instead. Looks like I lucked out.

    I had to stop my submission ... when I realized that it might be 8 weeks for a replacement, I went to Amazon and ordered a backup! It's supposed to be delivered tomorrow so THEN I can go back and do the submission ... We are NOT a household that can live without one. Thanks for all the details.

    I bought my Corsori after doing due diligence and research on the product and also watching these videos. Mine has been recalled and I have received confirmation etc. My question was on disposal, but after listening carefully to you my question has been addressed. I will hold off heading to the recycling depot but you have at least hinted we do not have to package up and return ‘to sender’. Believe it or not, I have only just thrown original box and packaging into the recycle bin a couple of weeks ago! Thought I was safe as I loved the product. That being said, even though I have requested the replacement fryer I am very hesitant and suspicious of future reliability. I am a tad elderly and live on my own and I want that faith in the product back again before using. My diet has gone downhill exponentially since losing my appliance. Too much fuss to bother with my stove and oven!😅

    Cosori has done an admirable job executing the recall. Fortunately I've got the top-input model, purchased on Amazon. I receive random questions from purchasers and it only took 5 minutes on the internet to find Corsori's protocol for a full refund.

      @@hilalozen_ they discovered a potential fault themselves and issued a recall of a few models that were sold in Canada and the USA. As far as I am aware there have not been any serious fires as a result of the faulty wires in those models.
      I’m only one person so obviously look to other sources. However, I am so happy with and confident in this manufacturer that I bought a second, smaller air fryer and that purchase was made after the recall. I am cautious by nature and would not have bought from them if I regarded their products as dangerous. I also have smart bathroom scales from the same manufacturing group.
      They sell several models so you should find one suitable for you.
