The first time Vegeta brought tears to my eyes was on Namek; when he begged Goku to defeat Frieza and avenge him, and through that victory, vicariously, the entire Saiyan race. Dying on the ground, weeping, Vegeta poured his heart out to Goku showing real weakness, and humility, for the first time to his destined Rival.

In the end I'm sure Beerus wasn't always as strong as he is now and that wasn't what I meant to say, just that you could definitely tell it's been a while due to the shocked expression he displays as Vegeta pushes his fist back.

Not only does this show how strong Vegeta is, but it also establishes the connection of why the "half breed" Saiyans are strongest if they put in the effort with their emotions in it. Vegeta wasn't just fighting for his family, he was fighting with anger in his heart for someone else. Why Gohan was proven the strongest at the end of the cell saga and held his own against Buu for so long but let his ego get the better of him instead of finishing the job. If the kids of Goku and Vegeta put in half the effort of training the way their dad's do, I don't see them having trouble passing up their fathers one day
Gohan was the strongest in Z absolutely it's disappointing they dropped his character. But Gohan is no longer the strongest in super, they literally did a movie where Gohan unlocks every bit of potential he has left and while he is probably stronger than Ssj Blue Beast Gohan is still seemingly a lot weaker than MUI and Ultra Ego. Based off statements, abilities and excluding the angels and Zeno it probably goes... 1. Beerus 2. Gogeta/Vegito 3. Black Frieza (Could possibly be no.1 need to see more). 4. Ultra Ego Vegeta (put him over Goku because he has never lost a fight to Goku and has that broken ki stealing technique) 5. MUI Goku 6. Jiren (while he is implied to be weaker than Broly his techniques are phenomenal, so I give Jiren the edge till Broly gets a higher form) 7. Ssj Broly (stronger than Jiren but lacks combat experience so it's hard to say if he could rag doll Jiren as he did Goku, Vegeta and Frieza.) 8. Beast Gohan (possibly stronger than Jiren and Broly but we don't see him do much so we need to see more of his beast form and if Broly gets ssj2 or 3 so 8th is a safe bet)
Super Hero is post-Ultra Instinct / Ultra Ego, and Toriyama himself stated in an interview that Gohan is the strongest, even stronger than the current Villain (left out for spoilers for those that read this obviously.) Gohan > Broly > (Current Villain here) > Piccolo > Vegeta = Gamma > Goku > Gotenks > Trunks > Goten. Beerus has been surpassed for a bit now in actual power, the power of him being a God of Destruction is where his 'true' power lies. Whis and Him are basically grooming Goku and Vegeta for their positions. And the only reason Broly isn't stronger than Gohan currently is because Broly isn't able to reach Super Saiyan on his own yet, hasn't learned the control. That's why he's being trained by Whis and Goku. He will always have more raw power potential than even Gohan - and based off of notes from Toriyama, as long as his son and Toyotarou follow thos, Broly will finally bring Super Saiyan 4 into canon, as Toriyama not only designed the original, but Broly in said form as well, recently. We also cannot forget that Toyotarou is the author of Dragon Ball Heroes and has a lot of things that he wants to bring into the mainline, where Heroes is already based off of Online/Xenoverse, which was a timeline written by Toriyama. @@jacobniemann4756

Gohan also has nowhere near the combat experience or crazy abilities of the people above him on this list so he is basically just a slightly faster, stronger and smarter Broly) 8. Broly (low ball again Broly could be as strong as Gogeta but has virtually no battle experience and has only had one 60 minute fight where he scaled near Gogeta) Broly and Gohan are both very powerful but they need to do more rather than just say I'm the strongest because actions speak louder than words.
And goku don’t forget goku if we are talking purely about that halfbreeds has more emotion so more potential goku is basically a human when it comes to his emotions

I dont think you understand, the legendary super saiyan 1000 years ago was most powerful in universe . No one stood a candle against him. The suspense still goes on because no one knows what form he had . Maybe beyond ultra instinct itself.

I know a lot of people don't like super but I love that they really showed vegetas changes in character and moved him toward finding his own powers and not just constantly walking in the shadow of goku. I can't wait to see ultra ego animated!

I love the shock on Beerus' face when Vageta pushes his fist back with his face, even though we all know he wasn't using his full potential you can tell that he's never even faced another mortal whose been able to withstand one of his blows.

Not really. Beerus has been around a long time. Likely it's been a long time since a mortal withstood a punch from him, but not never. Unless he was born at his current power level.

Cause no way you're telling me Frieza was capable of something like this and besides him and his father King Cold I don't think there were any stronger beings in Universe Seven besides maybe Broly but beyond that there's nobody in Universe Seven's History (that we know of) that would be Strong enough to withstand one of GoD Beerus' punches. His trainer is Whis and we don't even know just how long Beerus has been training under Whis, but we're led to believe that besides mastering his Ultra Instinct Beerus either has no more growth to be had in power or he simply doesn't feel it's necessary to get any stronger than he already is as he's already nearing the end of his time as GoD, since we see that he's begun to take Vegeta under his wing and teach him how to harness the power of destruction.
But I digress, I got quite off topic. In the end I'm sure Beerus wasn't always as strong as he is now and that wasn't what I meant to say, just that you could definitely tell it's been a while due to the shocked expression he displays as Vegeta pushes his fist back.

Not only does this show how strong Vegeta is, but it also establishes the connection of why the "half breed" Saiyans are strongest if they put in the effort with their emotions in it. Vegeta wasn't just fighting for his family, he was fighting with anger in his heart for someone else. Why Gohan was proven the strongest at the end of the cell saga and held his own against Buu for so long but let his ego get the better of him instead of finishing the job. If the kids of Goku and Vegeta put in half the effort of training the way their dad's do, I don't see them having trouble passing up their fathers one day
Gohan was the strongest in Z absolutely it's disappointing they dropped his character.
But Gohan is no longer the strongest in super, they literally did a movie where Gohan unlocks every bit of potential he has left and while he is probably stronger than Ssj Blue Beast Gohan is still seemingly a lot weaker than MUI and Ultra Ego.
Based off statements, abilities and excluding the angels and Zeno it probably goes...
1. Beerus
2. Gogeta/Vegito
3. Black Frieza (Could possibly be no.1 need to see more).
4. Ultra Ego Vegeta (put him over Goku because he has never lost a fight to Goku and has that broken ki stealing technique)
5. MUI Goku
6. Jiren (while he is implied to be weaker than Broly his techniques are phenomenal, so I give Jiren the edge till Broly gets a higher form)
7. Ssj Broly (stronger than Jiren but lacks combat experience so it's hard to say if he could rag doll Jiren as he did Goku, Vegeta and Frieza.)
8. Beast Gohan (possibly stronger than Jiren and Broly but we don't see him do much so we need to see more of his beast form and if Broly gets ssj2 or 3 so 8th is a safe bet)
Super Hero is post-Ultra Instinct / Ultra Ego, and Toriyama himself stated in an interview that Gohan is the strongest, even stronger than the current Villain (left out for spoilers for those that read this obviously.) Gohan > Broly > (Current Villain here) > Piccolo > Vegeta = Gamma > Goku > Gotenks > Trunks > Goten. Beerus has been surpassed for a bit now in actual power, the power of him being a God of Destruction is where his 'true' power lies. Whis and Him are basically grooming Goku and Vegeta for their positions. And the only reason Broly isn't stronger than Gohan currently is because Broly isn't able to reach Super Saiyan on his own yet, hasn't learned the control. That's why he's being trained by Whis and Goku. He will always have more raw power potential than even Gohan - and based off of notes from Toriyama, as long as his son and Toyotarou follow thos, Broly will finally bring Super Saiyan 4 into canon, as Toriyama not only designed the original, but Broly in said form as well, recently.
We also cannot forget that Toyotarou is the author of Dragon Ball Heroes and has a lot of things that he wants to bring into the mainline, where Heroes is already based off of Online/Xenoverse, which was a timeline written by Toriyama.

Beerus has never been stated to have been surpassed yet but Whis has implied Gogeta could be stronger by saying if the Saiyans worked together they "might be a match even for lord Beerus" so if you High ball it then Gogeta or Vegito are strongest then peak Beerus is second.
So I guess high balling everyone it would be.
1. Black Freiza (he trained for Vegito)
2. Gogeta (might be stronger than Beerus)
3. Gohan (I'll scale him this high based off toriyamas statement but there is no way he could beat Freiza)
4. Beerus (low ball)
5. Broly
6. Ego Vegeta

8. Jiren
I really don't see Gohan beating any of these characters in a serious full power fight except for Broly he just isn't skilled enough and doesn't seem anywhere near strong enough but I'll trust the statement.
Now for a more conservative list based on various statements in the actual series.
1. Beerus

3. Freiza (this is lowball, I need to catch up and see how strong he really is now but this is my min guess)
4. Ego Vegeta
5. Mui goku
6. Jiren
7. Gohan (low ball because despite being stated to be the strongest it isn't specified how Gohan is the strongest character. Is he just the strongest from earth, our universe, unfused etc?
Gohan also has nowhere near the combat experience or crazy abilities of the people above him on this list so he is basically just a slightly faster, stronger and smarter Broly)
8. Broly (low ball again Broly could be as strong as Gogeta but has virtually no battle experience and has only had one 60 minute fight where he scaled near Gogeta)
Broly and Gohan are both very powerful but they need to do more rather than just say I'm the strongest because actions speak louder than words.
And goku don’t forget goku if we are talking purely about that halfbreeds has more emotion so more potential goku is basically a human when it comes to his emotions
