Rachel Kunkel I wouldn’t say that it’s been alleged many times that near the end of the shows run she and Nathan had a bad falling out and still to this day can’t stand each other and based on how Beckett almost didn’t come back for the last season I think there could be some truth to those alleged stories

Stana is seriously the BIGGEST Caskett shipper of us all! She's always been a shipper of the two and I think that's soo great! A lot of actors are like "I don't know... or I think whatever happens it's going to be great", but not Stana! She's like "I want them to get married and have children! And Kissing! Lots of kissing!"
I love Stana's reactions when they were asked Are you ready for the moment to happen and what would you want to be in that scene what should be part of the moment...
I don't necessarily think Stana likes Nathan, I think she is definitely a Caskett shipper, and she envelopes the character so well that she knows that Beckett really loves him.

Not sure you know this but Nathan Nathan was a MONSTER to her and other crew members on the set. The word diva doesn't begin to descbabe a horrible he was. Was doing some research a while back and found this out.

Having recently become a fan of Castle and watched all the current episodes, and watched all the episodes of Bones, I definitely prefer Castle. I hope the series continues for a long time. If Bones can do it so can Castle.

They shouldnt have stopped this series...it was and is and always be my favourite...Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic are my favourite actors and to stop it at season 8 was maybe a mistake because of money problems for example but what if its possible to rejoin all of this as years have passed...I mean its been 4 years since season 8 but a reuniting and continuing of Castle would be a dream come true...straight fact.

I like the whole "do you know when it's gonna happen?" if they were talking about the slaughter episode as an already filmed yet not yet air ep then they probably either have already filmed the finale episode of the season or at least seen the script which is only 2 episodes later. excellent poker faces.

i love how Stana seems to be a little more childish than Nathan in real life. Dont get me wrong, Nathan is funny, but Stana is funny in an adorable way. And Stana SOOOOOOO likes Nathan.
I've never heard of this show before but I'm loving the cast here. Will definitely look them up on Netflix to have a viewing marathon.

I am a newcomer to 'CASTLE' since 9/2012 thanks to the repeats on TNT. I really LOVE Nathan Fillion but I have say Stana Katic is extraordinary. So adorable and really adds spark with her true personality. Love how she seems to enjoy Nathan. In a perfect world Nathan and Stana would be a pair in real life. Marlowe is a genius creating this fantastic series and the writers deserve much of the credit for their wonderful absorbing stories. This has to be my favorite TV series of all time!!.

they've actually made the tension real, the story between the two realistic.. and they've made them get together at the perfect time. any sooner the dance would of felt rushed any later it would of felt like it was dragged out. this show has fantastic writers that have kept this sort of thing alive..

There is no moonlighting curse. There are only writers who don't know how to carry a gripping story-line after their two main actors eventually engage in a romantic relationship. The writers of Castle seem to be good enough to create a gripping and interesting enough story to hold viewer's interest long after Castle and Beckett engage romantically.
Couldn't agree more!! Moonlighting didn't end the way it did because David&Maddie got together, but because Glenn Caron left in early s5 and the other writers couldn't handle the show and the D&M storyline at all. I mean sending Maddie off to Chicago - i can understand that, given the real life circumstances. But that Annie-storyline.. pls. And sadly this is what happened to Castle/Caskett too...Bad writing killed the show. :'(

Now this explains why the show has been so adept at writing for Beckett and Castle now that they're in a relationship.
I hate the tv convention that insists that drama is only created if characters in a romance are constantly kept apart. That love has to be dysfunctional to be "real". It's trite and, generally, poorly done. It also belittles romance and couples who can/do love.
I applaud Marlow's creative vision on this score and others in the series. Other shows *should take notes*!

When Stana says yes to Caskett getting together, Nathan doesn't look too happy. To me, I think Stana likes has a little crush on Nathan, but Nathan, he's an enigma, hard to read, but I don't think the crush is reciprocated. I know many people think they maybe had something at the start of the show and then broke up, which would fit what we see here. All I know is you don't get the kind of on-screen chemistry they have without some off-screen chemistry too :P Ly x
No, you're mixing this up. Nathan was just afraid that once Caskett gets together, the show won't be that good anymore (which wasn't the case and Nathan admittes to that himself years later)
And if anyone had a crush on the other, it was 100 % Nathan. The way he looks at her and smiles at her & tries to make her laugh, he most definitely was/still is in love with her. (But I agree that Stana definitely crushed on him as well)
@@sophiellaneuburg2356 i don't think he crushed on her that hard, he looks at most of his female stars like that, he's just a really sweet guy. Her crushing on him though definitely. But other than that everything else is what i think as well.
@@k.anderson9576 yeah, he is a really sweet guy but he was definitely in love with her! it's not just the "looks" he gives her, it's basically everything else. his body language, how he talks about her, his behavior around her, their tweets from back when the show aired, their interviews,.... oh and yeah also his totally broken heart during the season 8 filmings, when stana just ditched him for someone else (but that's another topic)
anyway, if you noticed that nathan has been single for like 6 or 7 years now - it's insane because he's someone every human on this world would immediately date if they ever got the chance.
so i actually think he's still not fully over her.... in an interview in 2019 he calls her lovely. and in a live stream last year, he randomly starts talking about how much fun they had on set & how amazing their 2010 comic con was... yeah
also, here's what nathan said in 2010 about season three, and i quote: "season 3 is all about two people who... want to be together, but they're married to the wrong people. and i mean that is a real-life-situation"

I love Stana and Nathan and it would have been nice if they really got married, but maybe he preferred the career, while she preferred the stable relationship. Anyway I hope they don't hate each other and have kept a good memory of each other.

From what has been said here I estimate that Castle will probably run till about Season 8 - 12 before it ends. They have so much material to go on + we still have to figure out what caused Castle to become a mystery murder novelist. And from whats been shown so far of which has scared the crap out of him it must be dark.

Can't remember now which actor said it, but one of the hardest things to do is "not to fall in love with your co-star". Obviously its harder for us human beings to "act" than people think. Compartmentalisation is in order, me thinks.

My personal take on it is that even if the dance is perfected--right time, right people, slow enough--its STILL the dance. Its the same two step without variation. The problem with that is I, as a viewer, already have the blueprint for the dance. I know how it begins, progresses, and ends. Thats not innovative. Maybe its interesting enough, but thats what separates the Breaking Bads and such shows from this--those shows are working without a blueprint of what already works/already has been done
I suspect she probably does have a thing for him. Unless she has a partner she's in love with. But I suspect she wouldn't date him because she works with him and that might create problems or complications that she thinks she should avoid.
The fact that Nathan didn't once look at Stana in that clip about their getting together is really telling.

Stop it... they both have differences and some similarities. To compare them is like comparing pepperoni pizza and cheese pizza. You know they're both good but they have differences. The only thing I will agree is that Caskett got together a bit better than B&B. But, like I said, to compare?? Nah man.. It always happens anyway so it's kinda ass dragging now.

Cheap television move: Have love story...have lovers wait it out for years to get together...show end after they do get together. I dont know how to fix the problem, but I sure hate watching the dance occur.
Well obviously if they waited on Bones they have to wait here #duh As if they've ever had an original thought or an original storylnie. Amazing how a few people buy into this crap
