Well written lyrics about a relationship that has lasted and deepened through the years and sung by a voice that has done the same. Add a memorable chorus that keeps you hooked and The Who have another great song.
A lovely song and their professionalism and British humor shows in the way they handle the mistake. They've gone through much, much worse in the past. Roger being called "deaf and blind" made me recall times when that had a different meaning (Tommy). 2:31
It's a great song. it's cheerful, optimistic, heartfelt. It adds a dimension to the album that would not otherwise be there. And, I have to say, that it must be a complete thrill to jam with your very own brother on stage. I wish that I could do that. I have a stepbrother, but he doesn't play music and we don't get along anyway. Cheers to Pete, Roger, Simon, et al. It's great to see you guys. You will always occupy a special place in my heart as well as my music collection. Thank you for everything.
@@colingeddes2172 so am I if we're spared and the creeks don't rise! Yes he's a great singer, and I don't even mind the odd cock up! As long as he's not beating himself up about it...
well let us call it a one handed backbeat provider...its a little invention i made years ago born out of nessessity when i was playing with Swingout Sister with no drummer.....
an embarrassment? because a guy who's almost 76 forgets the lyrics (which he has not written) of a new song he's performing live for the first time..? oh boy..
@@martyhopkirk6826 Understood. It's sad from my perspective given I saw the real Who back in the mid 70's with Keith Moon in all their power and glory. To see this is almost painful as they fumble around and make jokes about their age and inability to make it through a song. I'm older myself so not mocking anyone's age, and I get why they still do it, but seeing older bands play is just not my thing (Bruce being an exception). Plus, the idea that someone other than Pete would be writing a Who song is shocking. Not a very good song either.
@@sotampacane Dude, that version of The Who is LONG gone. Keith Moon and Entwistle aren't coming back anytime soon. This gig seems like a lot of fun and laughter, a real party atmosphere. It's far from painful. It's a joy to watch. You need to loosen up and take it for what it is. The new album is quite good and probably the best music they've made since the late 70s.
Fantastic song. Roger, Deaf, Blind and forgetful but still one of the best Rock God on the planet. Love watching this video.
This song has all elements to become a big big hit single !

Thanks for posting. Great tune off such a wonderful album.
This is such a great song! I’ve been waiting months for someone to post it.
Amazing. Probably my favorite track from the album. Can’t wait to see them live in October!
You gotta love roger hes as honest as the day is long what you see is what you get !!

That deaf dumb and blind guy sure can sing a mean song

Great, great song!
That was great, thanks George!
Missing my brother from another mother! Dont ever not come with me again!
This doesn't sound like the typical Who song, as many say, but it's beautiful, and I absolutely love it. It's one of my favorites from them.
This is a great song x
Love these guys!

What is that Hihat/Snare replacement the percussionist is using?

Interesting drumming!
Percussion, no drums. Acoustic set, loose intimate performance that was basically free when you purchased the album from the record store.
Jody Linscott !

But your here watching and commenting. Haha
Don't much care for. Them live anymore
This is sad. Skip to 3:20 to avoid the embarrassment.

I was there. It wasn’t sad, it was hilarious. The mood of the whole gig was relaxed and easy-going.

Will Traynor sure. Enjoy. Go check out a Stones show while you are at it. Swell.
