3rd Grade Ceramics - Fall 2013

We hadn't gotten our fresh clay for the year but I wanted to do something this fall. These flat leaf plates fit worked well with the stiff clay. When the students painted them, the fired plates were first tinted by plunging them in dilute acrylic paint which could be blended by sequential dipping. The gold was intended as detail. :-) They finished look reminds me of Victorian china!
