yes but a wood chopping board isnt smart to put sticky soft chokolate on, since you would destroy it washing it in hot water. i have a few plastic cutting boards i use for sticky stuff, my wooden chopping boards i use mostly on dry stuff,, say bread
@@estadejong9115 that works too i guess,, ore like i sometimes do if cleaning fish:: just put a piece of firewood thru my wood planer to clean fish on 😅 that i usually burn in my oven after use, ore if i expekt more fish in the next days i just let it dry OUTSIDE and plane it again before next use. hehe
That were my thoughts too......When my bathroom was tiled with marble tiles, there were 4 tiles left ( 25 x 50 cm ). I glued pieces of felt to the bottom, ( in each corner and in the middle ), and now use them as cutting boards. Sometimes you can get leftover tiles from a tiler for a few cents. ( I gave two away and they were gladly accepted )...... Incidentally, this also works well with ceramic tiles. You can use it well to put hot pots on it. By the way, if you put the marble slap in the freezer overnight and then spread warm, liquid chocolate on it, you can scrape it into rolls with a spatula or you can create other things for your cakes. There are no limits to your imagination. Have fun baking.......
When working with chocolate use a wooden spoon to stir instead of a metal spoon. Cut the fudge on the cutting board set on a moistened clean kitchen towel. Thank you! Your recipes are simple and look good.
If I were using a plate, it would have been cold from the fridge so as to keep the fudge from melting while cutting. Small marble cutting boards are great for putting in the fridge to use for working with chocolate. Keep an eye out at thrift stores for them.
В далёком советском голопузом детстве это называлось у нас жидкий шоколад. Просто Офигеннейшая советская сгущенка + натуральное какао. На большее детской силы воли не хватало, съедалось ещё в процессе размешивания. Кайф!
I thought that too (use the cutting board). Also when cutting more even squares, I make the first cut through the middle with a knife run under hot water and then keep dividing that part until I get those cut. Then again start at the middle in the other direction and work out because it is easier to judge more even portions rather than starting at one far end and guessing to the other side. That's only for appearances since they will be just as delicious if squares are uneven.
Silly, should have left it on the cutting board to cut. Then transfer to a brown bag TO shake with powdered sugar or powdered cocoa. JMO Thanks for sharing though.
bec the bowl is made of glass, hence cooler than the wooden chopping board.. perhaps to avoid the chocolate from melting whilst cutting.. i agree with the powder shake tho..

That’s called “brigadeiro” the most popular candy in Brasil 😍 popular between rich and poor, the possibility’s are endless, you can use a better material if you have more money or a cheaper one.
i love how its removed from the chopping board to then struggle cutting it on a glass platter😆😆😆
yes but a wood chopping board isnt smart to put sticky soft chokolate on, since you would destroy it washing it in hot water.
i have a few plastic cutting boards i use for sticky stuff, my wooden chopping boards i use mostly on dry stuff,, say bread
@@estadejong9115 that works too i guess,, ore like i sometimes do if cleaning fish::
just put a piece of firewood thru my wood planer to clean fish on 😅
that i usually burn in my oven after use, ore if i expekt more fish in the next days i just let it dry OUTSIDE and plane it again before next use. hehe
My kinda chef. :)

@@BadCatCafe you can also watch for cut off or broken pieces of marble counter top. I got two 2x3 foot $5 each.
Wooden spoons are susceptible to bacterial growth. The most recommended is a silicone spatula.
Would be easier to cut the pieces on the cutting board.
LOL--Exactly:)
UAU vc descobriu o brigadeiro, realmente fantástico!
Silly, should have left it on the cutting board to cut. Then transfer to a brown bag TO shake with powdered sugar or powdered cocoa. JMO Thanks for sharing though.
That’s what i was going to say..and why stir with a teaspoon...
bec the bowl is made of glass, hence cooler than the wooden chopping board.. perhaps to avoid the chocolate from melting whilst cutting.. i agree with the powder shake tho..
I'll be using a pizza roller dipped in hot water, Born Slippy - Simple recipe though
Thinking the same

This is Brigadeiro! A very traditional and popular national candy/snack. We all grow up making this after our mothers and grandmothers.. A lot easier made the Brazilian way, too!

It's a Brazilian brigadeiro in pieces!! Yummy.
No Brasil usamos chocolate em pó e enrolamos em bolinhas. Depois passamos no chocolate granulado. E o nosso famoso brigadeiro. Um doce super comum em festas infantis.
Fazemos também com côcos ralado, chama beijinho.
Com amendoim moído, chama cajuzinho.
Com queijo ralado
Com ameixa seca
Com nozes moídas.
Todos muito comuns no Brasil.

Gringos: OH MY GOD I WANNA EAT THIS MAGICAL CANDY😱😱
true
Americans: Ewwww!
The same gringos who invented/discovered 99% of what the world knows about chemistry? I don't think gringo's would find this "magical". Especially since gringo's invented condensed milk and have about a thousand recipes for it. Not to mention the fact my gringo grandmother cooked these as treats when she was a kid. But hey. If this is the only thing Brazlians feel they can take credit for in the world of chemistry, go at it.

Ikr? Cutting on glass is a terrible idea. And then they transferred to yet another plate! They had me up until that point then it was a bit of a groan fest for me after that point.

A moment of silence for everyone (including me) who thought you just had to mix condensed milk and cocoa and refrigerate
in australia we have something like cocoa powder called Milo and I stir that stuff straight into the tin and eat.
Instead of the cooking step, grind up milk arrowroot biscuits (Look them up and check ingredients, you may have something similar available if not them) Then you don't need to cook, just roll into balls the size of large grapes etc and refrigerate. Can also roll them in crushed nuts or other toppings like sprinkles etc

Is it bitter? Cocoa is typically bitter unless you add a lot of sugar
@@BiggBaddVVolf condensed milk is enough sweet to compensate the bitterness of cocoa. If you still want more sweetness, change one spoon if cocoa for 1 spoon of chocolate powder (that ones to mix with milk)
