The friend who jumped in was the hero. He literally risked his life for a chance at saving his friend. May he have a blessed life. All the friends were great.
I agree! That was selfless bravery.
Connor is a true hero! How awesome to have a mate like him 👍
He was a true friend to risk his own life he was a hero
While what he did is heroic , people surprise themselves with how brave they can be when a loved one is in a real situation.
I watch or listen to “shark happens” and it seems that sharks hardly ever go after the “other” person. Like the one who goes in after a victim, the shark will continue to go after the ordinal victim!
That rescuer was brave as hell. He deserves a medal. He's lucky the shark didn't keep attacking them both.
True friend.
Am sure that shark tale was just testing their friendship to go away that quickly
Everyone would be blessed to have a "Connor" in their circle. How courageous, and crazy, of him to risk his own life! Truly inspiring. Blessed 🙏
**Now CJ is back to doing what he loves including spearfishing**
Bullshark: me too
They're gonna need a bigger boat
Anyone else comfortably watching this in bed?

John 15;13 "Greater love hath no mam than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends"
Man, after having grown up amongst some really bad people who presented themselves as 'friends'... It's a good thing to see that there is something as true friendship and Conner displayed that in a hardcore way...
That's the truth
I hear you Alan !!!!!
@@cheistiandunn7988 Auch that's a sad read. I'm a sensitive guy tho. Sure i can bash someone's head in, i'm still a man but i can't take prison time. A few years ago i had severely beat up the guy who was abusing my mother. I got lucky i didn't go to jail.. it was one bloody mess and i had lots of explaining to do before cops realized the guy was a very sick individual. Hope you get better things going for you now !
Guy who dived in and swam him back is probably the most responsible for him making it.
I feel that it was an entire group effort. They all worked together like they had practiced this many times.
He made it because god wanted him too or hid his clart would have been swallowed by something

"When it gets too sharky"
For me one shark would be already too much...
Most sharks are harmless, but the guy knew he was in an area with Bull sharks, which are known to be dangerous.
For you 1.
Them: 1,000
Me too! I am terrified of sharks!
"Too sharky" really made me laugh
Ah dear reminds me when I swam in lake Nicaragua not even realising there were bull sharks in there. Never again
Amazing group of friends. They all acted so quickly. So brave of Conner to rescue his friend while a shark is in a frenzy. Much respect to all.
Especially a bull shark. Once they bite they zero in on the target and they go gung ho on killing their prey.
It wasn’t in a frenzy. Frenzies aren’t survivable
What a great friend. Jumped in the water immediately. No second thought or nothing. Friends like that are rare AF. He's lucky af
I'd jump in the water for you. Your kinda hot.
**guys go spear fishing**
Narrator: unprovoked attack
Shark: I took that personally
Yeah, I don't typically empathize with fish but imagine hiding from someone in your home when a harpoon shoots through your chest and some square-headed psycho with a buzzcut drags you through the window so he can eat your flesh. Terrifying.
@@DinoCism exactly. I don't like what they do not a bit. I just believe that shark got tired of watching them every Saturday kill many many fish, and he decided to get even. Poor fish. What an awful way to die. They just do it for sports. I don't like this kind of people. Rich people that have no cares in this world but themselves. Poor animals.
Agreed
Well you spear fish for fun, so I've got no sympathy!
That was an incredible act of bravery by Connor.
@James Hartsfield • ( 9:02 ) Connor will go to heaven when he passes away. What a fanastic friend !
Mad respect 🙌
Why thank you
I totally agree. A very selfless heroic act.
Hey CJ , you got, some quality friends there mate.
What an awesome friend, Wow🔥🔥🔥. “No greater love than a man has when he lays down his life for his friends.”

I'm ok with just swimming in a pool... the creatures can have the their ocean
Me too. I've seen to many shark attack clips on RUclips. 😅
There was actually a woman killed by a shark in her salt water, beach-side pool. They think it came in with a particularly large wave. The police left it in the pool for her husband to kill, at his request.

I'm glad CJ survived the attack. He had a great group of friends surrounding him, especially Connor!
Yes! Connor is a great friend! The type of friend we all need and need to be to others. But I’m being honest here...I am so terrified of sharks, idk if I could jump in the water for anyone but my children or my little brother, my mom, etc...

As an Aussie I can say. Bull sharks scare the hell out of me . They r cunning and can lay close to shore .

I used to surf in South Africa and those guys were my biggest concern too. Even more than great whites... We called them Zambezi Sharks and they're known to swim way up rivers.
Sunbathing in a inflatable chair in the ocean during spearfishing in a bull shark 🦈 area...🧐

What an incredible strong and fearless friend for diving in! He’s an absolute hero

Cj: same thing that almost killed me
There's nothing to fear when you got a friend like Connor to back you up
It would be nice if everyone had a friend like this guy. Awesome job on everyone's part in taking care of him until they got to the shore.
We all need a friend like Connor
Well done Connor. Pure courage!
Connor- gorgeous brave and loyal- what a combo!!
It’s creepy how they find actors that are mirror image to the real people. Sometimes i think it’s really them!!!! Holy shxt
Omg! Me here thinking the very same thing!
There's no way I'm floating in the water with my legs dangling down 15 miles offshore. It's not the blood that brings in the sharks it's the movement they can feel from the fish struggling and the people kicking and moving.
This teared me up, what an awesome bunch of friends. I hope they stay solid and loyal forever, because not everyone can have and experience such beautiful, strong friendships. 💖
Connor is a hero for jumping immediately to save his buddy, and CJ must've been a special friend too for him to do that. May you two (and everyone else that helped that day) have a long, happy, healthy lives, guys. ❤
as soon as you enter the sea or the ocean, you become a link in the food chain

yep and not The top

If I see one shark I'm like "ok this is too sharky for me I'm never coming back to this ocean again"
Such a gorgeous friendship. They speak so highly and lovingly of each other. It’s a friendship built to last. Makes me so grateful for the ones I have. Anyone wanna give a shout?
So glad he survived, thank God, good friends and excellent medical response and care.
And mostly God
This is scary. I hope this young man never goes out in that water again. You would never catch me even wading on the beaches of the ocean. I'm so glad you made it through this awful experience.
He'll be fine if he takes that group of friends with him. The odds of ever getting bitten again are probably less than winning the lottery.
I bet that guy & his friends were back on the water as soon as he was healed! One accident is not likely to stop a generational fisher man.
What an amazing group of friends. So courageous of Connor...they are all heroes and first responders and the doctors & nurses, too!💓💜So happy CJ is well! 😊👍💓

Moral of the story. Have good friends.
For a friend to jump into the shark infested water to save him - really admirable
I was a Commercial Diver in the Northeast (Boston) for about 20 years 80's & 90's, Marine Construction, I never saw a shark and I was always comforted by Co workers telling me that there were no sharks in these waters, especially Great Whites as they (alledgedly) prefered the warmer waters of the Gulf Stream.
Then towards the end of that career I saw a news clip of a 15' Great White caught off of Beverly, which is not too far from where i worked and also near where i frequently dove for lobsters.
Needless to say i Rarely go scuba diving in this area any longer, the visibility is usually minimal 5-10' and with modern technology ie. The prevalence of tracking devices that have shown the migration patterns of Great Whites i see that the Claim of them not being in these waters are a total fallacy !
They're everywhere, even right off popular beaches were 1000's of people swim(unaware that there are Great Whites a mere couple hundred feet away.
It seems there Was a decline in their numbers due to the depletion of their #1 prey (seals) But with the revival of the Seal population due to being protected, So to are the Great Whites coming back in large numbers.
I Don't Hate sharks or anything, I just have NO desire to play with fire.
You don't stand a chance when you can't see them !
I’ve always loved the idea of spear fishing and having fun in the ocean, but now I prefer to stay on land after remembering when you’re in the ocean, you literally in a sharks kitchen, and sure most of the time they’ll leave you alone, but sometimes they want a taste
That kid deserves a F Grammy. He def a Hero! Beautiful Story...
Unprovoked. Yes spear fishing should never attract a shark. HOW dare he taste that man. Bullsharks are very aggressive. The most aggressive. They don't like you in their space and once they bite, they frenzy.
5 reported attacks since 1882
I jumped off my friends boat one time when we were on the water and elbowed a shark on it's back. They told me I wouldn't do it. I had to prove them wrong. It thrashed around in the water after I landed on it smacking me with its fin and then swam off probably thinking wtf. I wouldn't do it again though. It's always a topic of conversation when we get together.
Brandon Savitski Then you’re crazy! Lol!
@@brandonsavitski u kno what kind of shark it was?? 😳
@@brandonsavitski was it a Bull Shark?
I wouldn't spear fish near Bull sharks, they are not called bulls for nothing.
You play with the bull you get the horns or in this case the teeth.
Theyre called bulls because the shape of the snout, nothing to do with how deadly they are.
MAT T well they are very deadly though
Very aggressive
“Unprovoked attack” if that’s what you call multiple people spearing the sharks food I guess - go into the ocean you risk being attacked by the animals that LIVE THERE

I remember reading that for every one person that is bit by a shark, we kill 10,000, so the odds are definitely in our favor. Always have respect for nature, she's more powerful than we can imagine. Glad he's ok.
I started diving when I was 7yrs and finished when I was 65.
For the last 25 yrs my family would not dive unless there was at least 3 divers.
Two fished and one dived with a shot gun that was water proofed.
It's the only way to stop a hungry shark. We shot it for real only once.
But it proved it's worth.
Amazing friends
What a wonderfully brave friend and his other friends that cared for him. It's a sad story that it was a sport that they loved so much and most of the day they were taking precautions but once he was alone - it happened. I'm so glad he didn't feel the pain of the bite. Phew. Enough problems afterward but so scary during the incident. I'm so happy he is doing well. Personally, I love to swim in the Gulf of Mexico because it's clear and it's like swimming in a pool. I try to stay near groups of people because I have a tendency to forget about the dangers once I'm playing in the water.
classic case of the hunter becoming the hunted. Connor is a true hero.

Shark: the humans paid us a visit and were easy prey. ‘It was pretty fun to do, pretty thrilling’.
This story sends chills up my spine. My Grandparents have property in Englewood Florida and we grew up snorkeling and swimming all over the area where this happened and where they hit land. Since I grew up swimming in this area I brought my own kids here to swim too. Makes me think of the times we saw fins and thought dolphins and jumped in to swim!

Glad everyone was okay but don't go into another creatures home and starting killing them for fun, then be shocked when something tries to kill you ...
