Shame. Zhao Liying is outstanding Chinese actress but Chinese treat her like an adopted child. Chinese audience’s cultural evaluation are not based on professionalism but discrimination based on family background, education , social status, hate, bias, jealousy,… It is must be why Chinese entertainment industry and movies can’t go further. Zhao Liying is a strong, brave and out of the box actress and I love each character she created and looking forward to watch her new movie here in Canada. Artistic movie are not easy to digest by ordinary people with ordinary expectations and professional critics need to decode it because it usually go deeper than our daily intelligent. Didn’t see the show, wouldn’t and can’t comment. No special feelings about her, except on her previous works, which is nothing to be excited about either. I rather watch Zhou Xuan, who gives a better account of herself most of the time.
