I probably wont build a 1776 again. only 1904. Only way I would build a 1776 if I had a good crankshaft and didnt want to buy a new one. if I am buying a new crank it will be a 74 and some aa rods. or CB crank and CB 5.4 clearanced rods. then just go 1904. easy and almost the same price. lots more power too.
Great tips!! Thanks for sharing.
guys used chrome back in the day no issues with running hot. Makes really no significant difference. If you like the chrome its all good.
You got it Mike!

You read my mind. I was planning on building one just like that. I also thought to try one of those Holley sniper carbs.
Looks and sounds good 👍
no sound of engine though
Chrome is a m’fer to keep clean and tidy 😉. Pointer: keep all the heim joints on your carb linkage well oiled; that’ll make them last a lifetime.
Good point!!!
What size fuel hose do you use with IDF carburetors?
