The adversary tries to set the stage of our lives for lives of pain to distract, ruin, or kill us. Scripture tells us that the adversary is like a lion stalking any prey it can find. And it is allowed to press some of us especially hard. And it is a lion with a fearful roar and growl, but in its mouth are not teeth. It cannot hurt you--it is only able to persuade us to do what hurts us or to believe what it says so that we live in pain. When I was an atheist those things of the adversary would encircle me and in my own mind would belittle, threaten, abase, mock, tempt, and torment me. At times they would swarm me, and I would reach for the drink or some drug to find relief. I was afraid to tell anyone, because when I thought to do so, I would suddenly fear being diagnosed and put away, thought crazy or weird. These things ended after I found Christ. When I was pulled out of darkness into the light of Christ, He did something wonderful to me through two different instances and He freed me--He could have done it once and for all, but the way He did it left no doubt in me. After two decades of atheism, I found God, and trials hit me hard, but when I thought they had ended, I entered a period of two weeks in September, 2020, in which I felt crushed as if beneath the foot of something. I had found God and then suddenly I could not feel Him, and it made no sense to me. Something in my mind told me to give up, that God had forsaken me. Yet I remembered hearing that He had said He would not forsake us, and I said, "Maybe God has left me, but I know that if He has left me then He is still real, and He will not forsake me forever." Then one morning I remembered that my mother prayed every day, and I went to her and asked her to pray for me. She ran off into another room but came back with olive oil (I didn't understand, but I didn't care.) She anointed my head, laid her hand on my head, and began to call on the name of Jesus, and she prayed with a voice that sounded amplified. When I rose to my feet what had plagued me was lifted. Yes Devil played on me before i received my blessing. For the 2nd time, I listened all the demon lies and lost the blessings God gave me. With fear and doubts, I rejected God's blessings and quite the race. Now the regret is killing me and put me depressed and despair. I woke up late to realize that its my fault not to understand demins work, the regret is killing me because I lost all 😞

I’m in the same position, was favored by god and deep in the race, only at the last minute to fall horribly. I am now under serious mental and spiritual duress.. fear that I have lost the Holy Spirit and possibly my salvation. My problem was that I never leaned nor dove into the word as I should and when the spiritual warfare was at its fiercest, I was ill equipped. I hope and pray the lord can recover me. I’ve been in the word daily. This battle out here is very real and it’s only getting hotter.

Brother Anthony, I have endeared my friends being murdered. My family saying blasphemous things about our lord. Bodily injury. When I was eleven my friend pushed me in a water canal, and I drowned. I was saved by two teenagers who revived me, drug abuse, etc...I endeared and all is better with family and so on, so now the smallest things are amplified. Like rite when I'm almost asleep , but not he puts the stupidest scenarios in my head, to make me feel hate. I catch these so-called dreams. But then I can't get back to sleep. If I sleep for five hours I won't sleep for the next two nights. This he likes because I get agitated. So I am working this out slowly. So when he can and does get in my head.
