Hmm.. Interesting vid for me this one, Mike. I have a D2 TD5 with a noisy TC. Want to fit the ATB to it when inflation lets me. I also have a D1 TC with a deep reduction low range gear set. I'd like to combine the two. I learn more from you than anywhere else.
Sounds great!

lol!
AND... those keys for the sealant tubes... Never though of that. Amazon sell them, of course. 'Doh!
They used to come with the Loctite RTV
@@BritannicaRestorations Never seen that in Oz.
Great to see it coming back together, thanks for sharing. Looking forward to having it back. The gearbox should be there on Monday.
Fingers crossed!
Lovin It mike, thanks for the help with clutch hydraulics too. Could do with a how to with brake lines, flaring, ferrels and flaring tools 😂

Old video but may be worth an upgrade!
Looking good Mike - the transfer box that is 😄. Excuse my ignorance but what does ATB stand for and what is its purpose?

@@BritannicaRestorations Thanks Mike.
One day. ATB and a ratio to drop the revs down on my Ninety.
On a 90, the Discovery 1:22 ratio and Tdi works well
Super film
I have a 1.2 ratio & ATB in my 1UZ V8 powered 90 and its absolutley brilliant
Yeap! And if you have a blown centre diff of the original style that is beyond economical repair, an aftermarket unit is a similar price to an ATB - no-brainer!
My 110 had a 2.5 na, with a 1.6 transfer, fitted a 300 tdi, with a 1.22 transfer, brilliant, being an ex MOD its lighter than the station wagons, and it goes really well, uphill and down dale.
I found the CSW with the 300/1:22 combo was struggling - best suited to the 90, so yes in a 110 MoD it should be good!
