I ordered that cake for my daughters birthday found it to be overwhelming, it was way too sweet. I ended up cutting the majority of the cake, and giving it to my friend I hate throwing food away. My daughters weren't a fan and we all barely finished our slice. Very disappointed I regretted not getting her the tres leches cake she wanted that was affordable.
Just a suggestion when you are reviewing a product talk about the texture, taste, moistness, smell. Just saying it’s good isn’t enough for the viewers to know what’s good about it. Thanks for the video.
I just came back from nyc flagship milk bar and I have to say how surprised I was at how much I hated it. Everything was SUPER sweet like nauseating so. It was worse than e eating a spoonful of sugar. And everything was so heavy. Like thick and tense like there was too much butter. To be clear, I tried 2 Cookies, the strawberry short cake, 4 different cake balls, and the ice cream. I thought I had to like one thing. But no. I was so disgusted and nauseated after the experience. My bf and I shared a small ice cream cup and over half went to the trash. He felt so sick after eating it. It was just an over all disappointing experience. I was so excited too. This is sadly just overhyped and over sweetened . Not worth it at all. 😢
Thanks for the comment! We loved the cake but found it very rich and couldn’t eat a lot like most other cakes. I’ve tried the ice cream and found it too sweet, like you. Everyone is different and we appreciate your feedback.
This was my experience too (although it was mail order and not in NYC). I thought it had an odd/off-putting artificial flavor too, so I have no idea why people like it and give it so much attention. It doesn't even look good after being shipped to you. When the first thing they say in this review is "it's on the sweeter side" you know it's not positive no matter what else they say. My two cents, but I agree that it's just not very good.
Ugh the most overrated bakery in nyc. I bought a cake for my daughters birthday and was so underwhelmed. No one ate their whole slice or more than one bite and no one came back for seconds. Ended up throwing more than half away because it was not even worth saving. I could have made a boxed cake and had better results. Mia’s bakery is waaaaaaayyy better.

I just got the cake shipped to me in Chicago and it was PHENOMENAL!!! best bought cake I've ever had in my life. The pie was somehow even better. I'm a new fan and customer. Most people love the cake hence why it's famous. Thankfully, your opinion is the minority opinion
