Lived in camp wood my whole life , in uvalde right now for college , when you were filming the kings smokehouse sign by the camp wood museum I could see my house at the dead end 😂, thank you for showing my beautiful home town

I did some construction work for a guy who had 1000+ acres by camp wood, full of axis deer and private creeks, some of the most beautiful country you've ever seen out there
You’re in Gods country my Man. Go to the Quince out of town and enjoy the water when it gets warm. The Nueces River stays crystal clear out their. Love that part of the world, and it will stay that way I hope forever
I always wanted to move to a small town, but unfortunately with my heart issues, I need to be close to a major medical facility. I'm not ready to die yet. Thanks for the small-town tours you post.👍👍

@@rusty78609 I was half snoozin, I don't remember the actors or the name, but at the end in the credits it said filmed in. It didn't show any old town or anything. Just the countryside. TAKE CARE..
Small towns can sometimes be interesting if you are a stranger! Once they know you are not with the cartel or the government (kinda the same thing, just opposite sides) you should be OK!

Camp Wood is a cool little town
Just up the road from Camp Wood is Barksdale. The Nueces River has a dam there. Really beautiful!

If we go up there, we usually stop by Kings and get a burger then go to the city park in Camp Wood to eat. Dry sausage is good to at Kings

Also, that drive from Leakey to Camp Wood is something ……a little nauseating if you’re squeamish. Fort Clark is gorgeous also.

That would be 13 days to Glory. Friends of mine owned the ranch it was filmed on and was extras in the movie
