I completely get the toxic reactors, they are people that act like they listen to k-pop but they only listen to one group or they act like they know everything about the group but they are just as clueless as new k-poppies. Also I love SuperM to along with WAAYY more groups Baekhyun is my SuperM bias but Kai is definitely my wrecker. The part where Baekhyun killed me and how he got to the bias position was his high notes in Jopping that gave me a stroke, I was so shook.
Yeah I get how people like that would be frustrating, but we genuinely LOVE K POP and groups from other cultures. It is so fun for us to react and talk to others about it. But one thing people need to keep in mind too is that you can really like a group and listen to them all the time but not know much about them yet and it could take time. Like for me (Alex) the groups I can tell you a lot about are BTS, all of NCT and their sub units, TXT, SuperM, Blackpink, and I am learning ITZY .. because I love those groups. I've driven 9 hours one way to watch BTS in concert and then turn around to come home and I'd do it for any of the groups I listed above. I also listen to a lot of Everglow and Seventeen because I like their sound.. couldn't tell you a members name though.. that doesn't make me fake. Some of the groups we react to are new to us and just because we don't know everything about them within a certain number of videos does not mean we are "fake k pop Stans". Contrary to popular belief you can REALLY LIKE a group's style and music and not have them on your main list (therefore not prioritizing memorizing facts about them). I also have heard people criticize some of my favorite reactors saying they are fake. The truth is, I don't care how intelligent the commenters think they are... they cannot determine someones level of liking something by watching a short reaction video. Some people are just naturally extra... that doesn't mean they're fake. If someone really hates how someone reacts and thinks they're fake.. then just don't follow them. It's simple. Do they think they're doing anybody a favor by commenting negativity that they can't even truly verify? No.

Right, I get that.. but also.. you have to consider the fact that maybe they're only reacting to a certain group because people have repeatedly asked them too and it has nothing to do with them "stanning" a particular group. Sometimes it takes people a few times to authentically know each member when they come onto the screen. Memorizing the names is one thing, however, knowing when they are singing and when they are shown is a completely different ball game. In other words, not everybody has the same brain. It could take 10 videos or more to immediately know who is shown. If someone is that easily triggered then they should probably consider a different hobby outside of watching reaction videos. I understand being annoyed if it seems like someone isn't even actually into it or isn't even trying, but I know for us.. we actually try, but it's hard. Why would we know all about a new group we JUST were told about. Ya know?
